Attendance will not increase due to increased capacity, at least not until we get back to selling out seats before games start.

We can blame Thursday night games, TV games, Thanksgiving games, but that is going to be the new normal. As long as we perform well we're going to get those games.

The quickest way to more seats is to put butts in the seats this year.

Winning is what will make attendance go up. I have been thinking about this a while and was wondering if anyone else had noticed the same. Our home fans/students need to see us win. Last season when we went on that 6-0 run it was (mostly) either on the road, a snow game or thanksgiving weekend. Then the year before we went 4-8. So 3/4 of the students on campus have not really seen us take care of business at home. So I believe if we are hot out of the gate student and single game attendance will rise dramatically.

I tend to agree with your train of thought. When we had the streak going for several years at the Rock, doesn't everyone remember the energy in Kidd Brewer every single Saturday. I know it was during expansion or pre expansion but I remember my son (around 8 at the time) pointing out the people up on the tree line above the stadium and everywhere else brimming over to see App take care of business. Winning will definitely build these numbers back up . We have always had a strong core group that would not miss a game come hell or high water. We need to get that winning edge back and create the best atmosphere that the sunbelt has ever witnessed.
