Then watch the FCS playoffs. There's nothing wrong with that.

You can't compare our best year in FCS to an average / down year in FBS. Comparing the best of each, would you rather win a national championship in Fcs or go to (maybe win) a New Years bowl along with a top 25 ranking?

In down years in Fcs, we don't make the playoffs. In down years in FBS, we won't make a bowl game but we'll still be playing programs like Miami and Wake at home. Much better!

I'll set the Over/Under at 3 for how many years we have to deal with these type of threads.

In a year or two (hopefully), we'll have the SBC championship game which will give us a shot at a championship game AND a bowl game.

Since we moved up, I find myself much more interested in league results than I was when we were FCS. With the advent of a championship game, this will get even more intense. Having a hard time expressing this, but I like how our world now seems more focused on the Sun Belt and our in league rivalries.

Hate to nitpick but championship 1 was 12/16/05. I lost my father in Jan of 05 and we won the title on his birthday. Special moment for me.
Appalachian State, Better than your school since 1899!!!!

I listen to college sports stations religiously and the FCS hardly gets a mention. It was a fun time but it's nice hearing nationally-syndicated television and radio programs talk at lengths about our team outside of us beating Michigan in 2007.
