Overall, my experience mirrored those that you have posted above. I agree that the city was under prepared for us. While Aviator was a good selection, they were understaffed to where I never was able to get a drink there. No worries, I went to SoZas (Italian rest) next door and got drink w/o a wait- also, Alabama beverage laws give a different meaning to open carry (double Makers to go.) We had to try three times (hotel at ticket pick up, pep rally, and fan fest) to be able to find T-shirts in our size. The T-shirt guy told us that we (App fans) were killing him- that he made twice as many T-shirts as Ohio and we were selling him out. He made more that night and we got the last couple in our size Saturday morning.
Overall, these were minor things which give us a good story to tell about how App took over Montgomery during our 1st bowl trip. The folks there were friendly and welcoming.

Re: Bowl Experience
Incredible experience in Montgomery. However, all weekend they seemed to be sold out of the t-shirt I wanted. The guy at the stadium said they would be selling them on the website. I checked the bowl website and don't see a merchandise section. Does anyone know what company was actually selling the shirts?

Here is the reply I received from them if anyone is interested:
We are accepting backorders on our online website. They won't be shipped until the first week in January, but you may certainly order yours! Just go to the Camellia Bowl website and there will be a link to order apparel.
Unfortunately we do not print score or championship t-shirts.
Thank you for your inquiry and have a Merry Christmas!
