I doubt anyone here questions our numbers versus GS. We did good, they did too. Maybe Ohio and BG had something to do with it, maybe other things did too.boonetown1 wrote:GSU was also only game on. We had others with and NFL game through half.

Re: Camellia Bowl Ratings
No way I would trade Montgomery for Mobile this year. The weather was miserable. But the fact is our bowl was played too early. People don't really start getting into bowl season until the holidays. Most people were probably off on the 24th so the evening of the 23rd was a perfect time for football. Others have mentioned less TV competition on the 23rd which also played a part. We did 1.9M which is awesome. The extra 300K watching stink slap BG around can partly be explained by the proximity to Christmas in my opinion.

Re: Camellia Bowl Ratings
I don't see how these early bowl games played on weekday afternoon get ratings? - I mean I did check out the Navy game because they are Navy and run the triple option - but Minnesota - Central Michigan ? Cal - AF? --- I actually think our game and time worked out well - yeah 5:30 cut into some peoples evening plans but it was a good time for us fans ---
