That was Satt not Jerry. Jerry wanted to scrap the spread on the plane ride back from WY.
I agree we don’t need a new system just upgrades across the LOS.

Drink used his personnel very well. He knew he can’t line up helmet on helmet on the line and used misdirection very well.
I'm sure Satt had his hand in on the original decision and I'm very familiar with the story of Coach Moore wanting to scrap the spread after the Wyoming fiasco, but he was still the head coach and it wouldn't have happened without him agreeing.Saint3333 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 29, 2023 11:46 pmThat was Satt not Jerry. I feel that we will be very competitive that game if we can beef the OL and DL. Clemson isn’t its old self anymore struggling in about every game they play.Black Saturday wrote: ↑Fri Dec 29, 2023 6:55 pmBINGO
However it would be nice to have a new scheme to go to Clemson with......
I'm think we are smaller by design, pass blocking was A+, run blocking in some critical situations has not been what I hoped for, but there could be several more factors argued why or why not that tie into us being predictable in certain situations?311neers wrote: ↑Sat Dec 30, 2023 12:17 pmI feel that we will be very competitive that game if we can beef the OL and DL. I would guess Clemson will be a double-digit favorite when we roll into Death Valley311neers wrote: ↑Sat Dec 30, 2023 12:17 pmI feel that we will be very competitive that game if we can beef the OL and DL. Probably 20+ but that won’t mean anything. They needed 4 turnovers from Kentucky to squeak a win. And Kentucky is not a good team. They’re beatable with Klubnik playing QB.Black Saturday wrote: ↑Sat Dec 30, 2023 6:45 pmI would guess Clemson will be a double-digit favorite when we roll into Death Valley311neers wrote: ↑Sat Dec 30, 2023 12:17 pmI feel that we will be very competitive that game if we can beef the OL and DL. Out of curiosity, how much bigger do you feel that we need to get? Particularly along the OL.311neers wrote: ↑Sat Dec 30, 2023 12:17 pmI feel that we will be very competitive that game if we can beef the OL and DL. 10+ pounds across the board- which could just mean another off-season of S&C for the returners. Think we all know the DL has to get bigger in the middle but Hopper held his own!AppSt94 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 31, 2023 8:42 amOut of curiosity, how much bigger do you feel that we need to get? Not unreasonable but 10+ lbs doesn’t guarantee better. People seem to get caught up in the measurables (height and weight) and not the speed, footwork and hand strength. The best DL in the NFL is 6’1” 285 ((Aaron Donald) and the best Center is 6’3” 282 (Jason Kelce). Just saying.311neers wrote: ↑Sun Dec 31, 2023 8:57 am10+ pounds across the board- which could just mean another off-season of S&C for the returners. True. But how many of our guys are even at that weight on DL. With proper S&C training, you can have both.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 31, 2023 9:34 amNot unreasonable but 10+ lbs doesn’t guarantee better.
