Yep, we need coaches that want to go make the big bucks. Said it before and I’ll say it again. If nobody wants our head coach after 3 years at App then we have the wrong guy.

Huh? Have you seen the state of college football? There is no loyalty.MrCraig wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2024 7:38 amI’d be surprised if it’s Tre Lamb. I don’t think he will want the optics of being at 3 different schools in 3 years. Gotta show a little loyalty on the resume.ericsaid wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2024 2:03 amClearly Tre Lamb, for all of those. He could have App back and it could be by next year. This team needs a shot of life and right now it’s taken on the personality of guys who feel comfortable in their jobs.DenverOfTheEast wrote: ↑Tue Oct 08, 2024 10:35 amThink fit and logic when making a choice guys...
1) Boone/App State fit -
2) Salary -
3) Staff salary affordable, etc.
4) Style of play - emphasis O or D side of the ball
5) Recruiting Plan

But fans are asked to be loyal. Hard times ahead for a lot of programs.Yosef10 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2024 8:56 amHuh? Have you seen the state of college football? Believe it or not, due to the portal, I would say a turnaround like that can easily happen in 2-3 years with the right coaching and personnel staff.

Oh I agree, but with the current staff, it just feels so far away from happening. I hope I'm wrong if they end up staying.

Just a comment here. Not looking for a brawl. Not planting a flag…….
I liked Drink a lot. Not much opportunity to see how he could build at our level, cause as we’ve all said numerous times, he inherited a Maserati. Our fan base was ruthless to his DC, and that includes many of the “experts” on this page. What was it? 2 games into the season? “Fire Ted Roof”. And same fan base, again including many in here were ruthless on lambasting him for losing to GASO that year. That he didn’t understand the culture and history of our program, losing to our biggest and most hated rival. So……. 13-1 saved him. Actually 12-1. Clark fit that 13th win with Drink’s team, who got the Missouri job with Satt’s team.
