Blasphemy! JK..... there is a reason Chick-fil-A and Arby’s are more expensive than the rest. Quality. As far as fast food goes, it is those 2 or Cook Out.HkyMtneer wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 11:47 amHa! I'm not saying CFA isn't good...it is. I also appreciate the core values and the friendly, and generally, intelligent staff. But it's WAY overpriced and WAY overhyped. Some would say I'm a bit of a "brand-whore" but even to me, CFA is wayyyyyy down the list when placed on the "cost vs value" scale. Throw in the insane drive-thru lines and the only time I really ever eat CFA is when I have a gift card or someone else is buying. Of course, I'm also not a foodie, so there is that.appstatealum wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 11:42 amChick-fil-A will never be a wrong answer, EVER. I also like Chick Fil A chicken biscuits. Come at me.
But the pork tenderloin biscuit at Country BBQ in Greensboro might be my all-star.

CFA could get through a 40-car drive through line before Bojangles could handle five. Then Boj would have you pull forward and wait for another five minutes to eat your doughy-ass, undercooked biscuits.
Chic-fil-a is a well-oiled machine in taste, service, and efficiency. It's proof positive that capitalism is the best economic system. It's surpassed all other fast food restaurants in such a profound way that it's in an entirely different category than New York sell-out Bojangles.
I just wish they'd abandon their draconian practices of closing on Sunday because the Jews invented the Sabbath and their shit is on Saturday anyway.

Re: Board of trustees
I'll throw in that the CFA mobile application has the best UI/UX of any app i've opened, can order from my desk, they automatically start making it when I'm a mile away, then they deliver to a designated parking space without having to get out of my car or touch the drive thru line.
Holy hell, what a company.

Re: Board of trustees
The more important question is has anyone been in contact with our current commitments? Early signing is close.

Preach on it, Gonzo! However, I am ok with them sticking to their “Closed on Sunday”. Yes, it caters to their Christian beliefs, but it also creates more demand. Make no mistake, they are capitalists.Gonzo wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 11:58 amWorst post of the year.HkyMtneer wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 11:47 amHa! I'm not saying CFA isn't good...it is. Re: Board of trustees
This has devolved into pure chaos. I feel as if the collective sanity of this board is two days away from being committed. I pray we have a coach soon, for everyone's mental well being.

Re: Board of trustees
I just got a call from DG. He is sending a chopper to KHBI. Don't worry guys we will be going under center on 3rd and short. No more dive plays and I will use my timeouts.

Re: Board of trustees
Praise God on going under center on 3rd and short! This has been my biggest offensive gripe for more than a decade. I mean, at least have it in the playbook. What's that...3rd and inches? Let's start 5 yards back and see if we can make it!

Re: Board of trustees
My daughter worked for Chick Fil A. Their closing on Sunday is far from Draconian. It is an effort to give all of their workers "Sabbath" time off. In a world where fast food places are open 24/7 and wearing their employees out, every Chick Fil A employee is guaranteed at least one day off per week. Im a retired minister and the chain's idea of Sabbath is based on the human need for down time, not to fulfill some arbitrary dogma.appstatealum wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 12:11 pmPreach on it, Gonzo! OH GOD, can we Puh-leese announce the new HC so we can Argue over something football related rather than fast food?
I almost miss the days of arguing Satterfield vs Elliott for HC

Re: Board of trustees
Have you been to a Bojangles around the Triangle on a Saturday or Sunday morning? They are far more efficient than CFA. I wait in line at least 10 minutes each time I go to the CFA at Friendly Center in Greensboro. I waited 20 minutes in line at CFA in Burlington off of 40. It's a nightmare scenario and I make sure to never travel with my Fiance unless it's Sunday.Gonzo wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 11:58 amWorst post of the year.HkyMtneer wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 11:47 amHa! As for Draconian Sunday closing, they are a private enterprise. I am a firm believer in the rights of a private company and recognize that while I may not be in agreement with their politics, they have a right to operate how they wish. It seems to work out just fine for them and their customer service, in general, is top notch.
