We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: September 7, 2024
Hope we are in shape on defense as I can see a steady dose of fast quick hitter passes.

Their defense is looking fast and strong on this first drive by Georgia.Bigdaddyg1 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2024 11:13 amHope we are in shape on defense as I can see a steady dose of fast quick hitter passes.

I'll be there next week. Clemson defense is looking tough. What I hope exists again this season is the unpredictable gunslinger style of Joey.

Wonder how this would have been spun if the opposite was said about Deon's team say for instance if North Dakota State would have beaten Colorado? Free pass. smh

Re: September 7, 2024
By all accounts the Clemson quarterback isn’t that good. Looking back at the most recent P5 games we have played where would he rank in terms of the fear factor- as in being a guy who could light up our defense? Obviously not close to Drake Maye. The SC and A&M quarterbacks were not good. Really other than Maye we have gotten a few P5’s in down situations or with lesser talent at QB. Great opportunity for us and not having to play in 100 degree heat is a plus.

Re: September 7, 2024
My thoughts on what I saw yesterday we will need to sell out to stop the run, I'm not sure they have a good passing game.
On offense what worked for us yesterday also work for Georgia.
This could be a very interesting game

Re: September 7, 2024
Like any game, we need to try to make their offense one dimensional.
Given our run woes last year, I believe we may see a heavy dose of the run game including 3rd and 4th down until we show we can stop it..... On pass plays, hopefully our LBs and secondary can cover. IMO, ETSU had several open receivers yesterday, however their QB was just not accurate. When Clemson does pass, I believe they will try to use TE untill we show we can cover it. Dabo has got to do something to get their QB comfortable after yesterday...short passes to TE or RBs out of the backfield would seem to be something I would do to get him some confidence with completions.
Personally (and hope I am wrong), we may find it difficult to run the ball. Would definitely love to see more jet sweeps versus faking the jet sweep every time. Robinson will be key. Needs to work the field in the middle of field... meaning hash mark to hash mark...
We are always 2 touchdown or more underdogs in these types of games...let's prove them wrong again..

I don’t see us having a shot unless we stretch the field. No way we can run up the gut with much success. Put faster guys in space, roll Joey out and let him make plays with his feet. He seems to have that playground mentality at times which turns into phenomenal plays- like that Mahomes like play.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2024 10:02 amLike any game, we need to try to make their offense one dimensional.

Re: September 7, 2024
Their front 7 is a problem. Peter Woods slid to DE just so they could get their top 4 down lineman in the game. He is nasty. Going to have to hit some deep shots to win.Bigdaddyg1 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2024 10:14 amI don’t see us having a shot unless we stretch the field. No way we can run up the gut with much success. Re: September 7, 2024
In order to stretch the field, we need to be able to run the ball. Unless we can force them to bring their safeties up towards the line. Their defensive front is too good to sit back their and wait for a 30 yard route to open up.Bigdaddyg1 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2024 10:14 amI don’t see us having a shot unless we stretch the field. Re: September 7, 2024
We took Penn State and Tenn to overtime. Took down UNC in chapel hill. Lost a close one to UNC. Beat Texas A&M. Beat South Carolina. We can beat Clemson.....

Re: September 7, 2024
Yeah I agree. When I said stretch the field I was thinking more in terms of some misdirection, jet sweeps and tosses to faster receivers as well some quick hitters. We seem to try difficult angle throws to the sidelines too much which will be very difficult against better secondary play.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2024 10:34 amIn order to stretch the field, we need to be able to run the ball.
