We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

I like that he doesn’t bring a hard nosed team to the games. Let’s see what that learning curve is, he was handed a tough hand this year and will finish with more wins than us so he did something right.

Re: JMU @ App +7
It was said after the game that JMU gave App some new looks that weren't on film. That seems to be the scouting report on App this season as I've heard that reasoning several times post-game. "Do something slightly new on offense to start the game and you'll have 14 points quickly."
I noticed on offense there was more pre-snap motions, especially in the red zone. Or maybe Makai was running those motions faster and more vigorously than Kaedin did? That made a big difference in the red zone as it took 2 defenders out of the play each time. Look at the TE pass and Ahmani touchdowns specifically.

Re: JMU @ App +7
Lack of motion and play actions to the wrong side of the running back have always puzzled me. Most teams use motion on every snap nowadays.
Motion can help give you a pre-snap read on what the defense might be running. Doesn't always work that way but it's a good indicator on what they're going to give you.
For some reason, we just don't do it much or at all- this is what I would call bland.

"Even in the midst of perhaps the most disappointing Appalachian State season in decades"
"But James Madison has reached the point where championships are not only expected, they are demanded. They also prove hard to come by when even an uncharacteristically mediocre App State team stands in the way."
Tough to read when you can't disagree with these statements.

He obviously doesn't understand because; "reasons".Saint3333 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2024 9:43 am"Even in the midst of perhaps the most disappointing Appalachian State season in decades"

What about these quotes that also can't be disagreed with,Saint3333 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2024 9:43 am"Even in the midst of perhaps the most disappointing Appalachian State season in decades"

"But that hasn’t happened much lately. In anything. Despite being the two-time reigning “Kings of the East” with the best record in the division the past two seasons, the Mountaineers took JMU out of contention this week when it actually counted.
JMU put together its best men’s basketball season ever last winter, going 32-4, but lost twice to App State. For all the success across multiple sports, volleyball, field hockey, women’s basketball and others have all had crushing defeats against the Mountaineers, many of them upsets"
Were they tough to read as well? I thought it was a fairly written article.

Good article, just don't like hearing we are in the mist of the worst season in over a decade and are mediocre.

Yeah, it's more painful when people outside of the App echo chamber make statements like that.
