Known for choking in the past, haven’t heard it in while

I thought I saw more Duke than I did Clemson.

Anyone have an idea if our WR’s were having trouble getting separation? I felt there were a couple times he took sacks (including that absolutely bizarre attempted lateral/fumble) where Brice had a lot of time but just didn’t let the ball go.

He appeared to be searching down field and the TV obviously doesn’t show it, I’m just curious. I’d be a little surprised if separation was the issue and not decision making, but I may be wrong.

It looks to me like he gets nervous and makes bad decisions. That lateral thing was a middle school decision. He just has no consistency. He may throw a perfect ball followed by where or why the heck is he throwing it.

It’s a shame, because when he’s dialed in he throws a beautiful ball. That toss to Sutton against ECU was damn near perfect.

That bomb to Sutton last night was beautiful too, almost eye level with the camera. Naturally it just drew a 15 yard PI.

So very true. My understanding is that is fairly normal in practice. That is why I think it is a nervous issue.

That is what I hate about " smart" penalties.

Their O line dominated our D line and their D line dominated our O line, consistently.Factor in a lack of ball security and you have the recipe for the ass whippin' we endured.

What I saw tonite I have been seeing for a year and a half: I hate to say it but this team and last years team resemble our FCS teams. I’m afraid Clark, coming from the Jerry Moore coaching tree, coaches very similar. Lest we forget , it took coach Moore 15 years to find a Natty and some incredibly bad and embarrassing losses along the way! The eye test of these teams is way to similar to those teams and I personally probably don’t 15 years for Shawn to learn how to coach.

In the 16 seasons (1989-2004) BEFORE Jerry Moore won his first title, he won two-thirds of his games (128-64), took 10 different teams to the I-AA playoffs, and finished under .500 just once (1993).

Also, as a coach, why would you not use your bigger backs in Smith and Castle when your offensive line isn't generating a ton of push but there are holes to the 2nd level? Obviously Noel is a cut away from a house call any given play, but at some point you need to worry about down and distance.

I mentioned similar “nut cutting” time, when the same situations occurred after the Miami game. So obvious a blind man should be able to see it.

We didn’t have a clue last night. That isn’t amusing when the shoe is on our foot….Florida A&M, Virginia Tech, and Villanova flashbacks come to mind. Now we can add Louisiana as Billy Boy got his 2.

If he can attain the success of Coach Moore we will be in fine shape. If we win a National Title in 15 years he will be the greatest coach of all time. If he wins three.................
