This is embarrassing to end like this but not shocked. The media should ask what the strategy was late in the 4th. We were calling plays like we just wanted to move the chains and drain the clock but left way too much time on the play clock. Then the TD pass to TE being overturned due to formation is another one to ask. How does the staff not call timeout to correct that error? I can't blame the kicker because he kept us in the game but we never should have needed that.

We have to give coaches time but that fourth quarter tells me that Loggains did not learn anything by the end of the season. If we won't win 7 or more games next year then I will join in with those who called for change earlier this month and say we should move on from Loggains. He is bringing in a great group, if we can keep them, but if Loggains does not improve his management of the game and make some staff changes I believe he will be fired at the end of next season.

Fair points. If we were milking clock, the ball was snapped way to early on each play if that was the strategy. The plan didnt look solid.

I actually loved the way the game was called especially our second to last drive. Arkansas State had all three timeouts and the two minute warning left so it made no sense slowing down your offense like that when going tempo was working. They got a yard away from putting the game away. Personally I know I was very critical in the Oregon State game because I thought we were way too conservative way too early

The only question was choke or blow out. KBS is now where bad teams go to win. The Teaxas A&M/College Gameday week seems like decades ago. We have regressed at an amazing pace, and we’re left with a little snake oil and a huge buyout.

We used to be mentality monsters. Always rising to the occasion. Three of the last four seasons we’ve been playing for bowl eligibility in the last week. We’ve lost all three times.

DL is certainly not the guy for the job. His team makes so many mind numbingly stupid plays that there’s no way he coaches worth a sh*t M-F.

But this largely falls on DG. He got fooled by Mr “10000 years of NFL experience” with the god dang BROWNS. A large share of the fault for the recession in the High Country falls on him. We’re led by men short in stature, and short in vision.

Not really sure I know how to articulate this, but the sort of emotionless, faux nfl game management is not doing it for me. I’ll support DL trying to develop something for a year or two, but I would love to have a college football coach with passion and hit them in the mouth mentality. We had quite a few opportunities to put teams away this year. I know that most of us didn’t have super high expectations this season, but the staff and players were more disappointing than I expected. If most of the money and resources are going to football, the product needs to be better, even if with a first year staff and many new players. How the hell do we line up in an illegal formation 12 games into the season with the game and season on the line? Maybe the 1000 reps are whatever nfl bs was mentioned in preseason is not the way to prep a G5 college program. The high number of injuries come to mind.….also, I’ve held back on this all season, but we seem to have lots of dumb players, and that goes back several seasons. I’ll step off the soapbox now.

I actually am not here right now. I need an explanation for the illegal formation. Was that an execution error or did the coaches call a flawed play? If not for an infraction we call that a great, ballsy call to put the game away. Did the coaches allow Arkansas State to march down the field like that to end the game when all we needed was a stop? Our fourth quarter offense actually looked good after it had been shut down in other games this season (Coastal, Oregon State).
