GaSouthern like was young. We stopped the run sure but the QB had time. Tennessee tried to pass too much and at the end of the game our Dline was gassed. Miami ran and passed at will. Nit pick if you want but Troy has a good big Online and a Dline. We will have to have some different wrinkles to gain an edge. Again just an observation. Having said that Texas State is the next game to focus on. A little payback for Withers comments about settling for a scholarship at App is warranted.

First one receiver has to catch those types of passes. Yes it wasn't a perfect pass but very catchable so you have to count on receiver pulling those in. Nobody expects every pass to be perfect so I expect the receivers to make a play. Just like s less than perfect snap the QB has to pull it out and still make a play.

Second pic flailed and dropped short. It looked to me after watching replay several times he just gripped it wrong or something BUT he had the receiver in a spot where a crisp throw, I.e. Like last week he made several times, would have be be right on target. I give Lamb credit for going for it. I don't want Lamb to play too cautious as it will hurt our offensive threat to opponent and further let them just key on the run. To me a weird fluke that hopefully Lamb corrects as season progresses.

Miami did not run at will. With the exception of the first play from scrimmage, we defended the run very well in that game. They pick us apart in the passing game. Troy will be a legit threat but they are not in the same class as Miami athletically. We need to stop making the mental errors (penalties and blown coverage) but Troy doesn't outclass us.

Agreed, it will not take a perfect game. However, I don't think it would be a good idea to spot them 10 points like we did Thursday night either. Against Troy, we can't beat ourselves.

For sure. But outside of that one freak play, I thought we were really good Thursday. We did have a couple other mistakes but those were more the kind of things that happen in most games.

Some folks are not arrogant enough to think we are the only good team in the Belt. The point is there are three with a shot at the title, each with their own claim to be the favorite. Obviously, both Troy and App can't finish undefeated, nor can both Troy and AState do likewise. I don't think pessimism should be confused with realism. Troy does have the advantage of playing both at home. App and AState have the advantage of not playing each other, though that could prove to be a liability to an outright title.

Why can't we come on here and say that we are the best team in the conference? Who cares about being cautious and all that mess. I for one will have zero to do with the outcome of any game we play. We all realize that Texas State is next but we also know that Troy is the biggie. At this point what does the UT or Miami game have to do with where the team is now? I see a team that is getting better each week. I see the offense growing and I see a ferocious defense. To say we have to play a perfect game against Troy to win is ridiculous. They can't be that good.
