This is the house that Armanti built. That is a fact.
I have never been more excited to watch football than when he was at the helm. It was pure magic!
No doubt we have a bad ass team rolling right now but nothing compared to watching that dude play college football.
That 07 offense was the best ever.
The current team may best all around.

Richie Williams on a gimpy leg was the foundation of our success. Armanti added the second story. Jerry Moore and Satterfield were the architects. We had great players in the back to back to back years. We just have more of them now.

I agree with the General. Watching Armanti and that offense was exciting like no other. No matter the down and distance, any and each play could go the distance. That offense was the master of the 30 second drive.

Re: Awww... They Miss Us.
The reason 2016, 2017 and 2018 beats the 2005, 2006 and 2007 teams most of the time is because of depth. The 1s vs 1s can be close to even talent-wise, but the 2s vs 2s and 3s vs 3s would be a mismatch and tired 1s from the FCS teams would be mince meat in the fourth quarter versus the rotation of the FBS teams.
That being said, Armanti was the most exciting player and best offensive player in App history. He masked a lot of weaknesses that became very apparent in 2010 and 2011.

Richie is such an underrated player in our history. That dude helped us transition from Big Joe and our stagnant offense with Fowlkes and Sterling H. to the spread offense. Richie had an underrated arm and he was a great leader. 2005 means more to me than any other year, well, up until this year, and next from the looks of it.

Re: Awww... They Miss Us.
These debates on players and teams just drives the point home that we've been blessed with amazing athletes in the past and that tradition continues today. I try to explain what our football culture is all about but people think I'm just being a fan...it's more than being just a fan...but I just can't explain it...
