Well, the Gold helmets on the black unis was a good look but maybe it is just me, didn't like the old yosef-in fact, dislike the old yosef head or the number. Block A are so much better and less "bush league" like.
why o why do we have to endure that old yosef head logo?? Looks so yeee-high....

Because most of us love the old logo. And it way better than the Gordon’s fisherman.

We don’t endure the Yosef, we embrace it. It’s a part of the Appalachian athletic history. The history is usually a part of the game program. It’s way better than the Gorton fisherman or the blasphemous version with no pipe. This particular Yosef looked much better; it was bigger and showed up well on TV. Seriously, everyone is afforded their opinion of the Yosef; glad you guys like the current Yosef head, I just don't but having graduated back in the 80s, I guess the Gorton's Fisherman head was "advanced"...

I like the old school Yosef and have no problem with it but I've never LOVED it. I strongly prefer the block A as a logo, but I don't mind rolling out Yosef as an alternate occasionally.

Maybe it is how you grow up/etc?
I grew up in northern Iredell, edge of the foothills and am admittedly redneck in upbringing. I like the old ways of things and the old moonshiner way with a corn cobb pipe is good to me.
If you grew up in the city or something different than me maybe you see the old logo as a 'hillbilly' that isn't complimentary.

My dad attended App and I grew up seeing the Victory Yosef head. I was so happy when they brought it back and thought the helmets were awesome!

Nothing at all wrong with being a hillbilly. A hillbilly would survive in the city but a city slicker would have troubles in the hills. It is part of our culture as Mountaineers that I think we should embrace. At least once a season on a helmet anyway.

Block A baby.....Once and a blue moon the old YOsef is fine...........Two of my fraternity brothers were :Human" Yosef's in the 70's...how about bringing that back!

Student Yosef for certain. I remember around 1975 or 76 the Yosef was phenomenal. Once he "shot" the Marshall basketball coach because he kept griping at officials and wouldn't sit down. The last home game near the end he was in VG near the west end of the gym. As the game wore down and obvious we would win, during a time out he fired the long rifle and began running to the back doors.......dropping clothing as he went. By the time he got to the opposite end line he was completely au naturale!
