There's a thread about it, I believe entitled "Southern". Terribly tragic, not too many confirmed details.

Yes there was a thread started about the death. Haven't heard or read anything else.

Uh....I'd like to hear this storybooneboy92 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 17, 2019 8:49 pmT-Dog... For the last few years, I have searched the world over trying to find your past “Deeper Than Hate” contributions to The Cabin (you know... about the drunken challenge in the Savannah bar!), to no avail.... My kids used to almost die laughing as I read to them about the discovery of “the most god forsaken place on earth” (I think that’s how it went) during Hate Week! Is there any way I can get a copy? THAT was every bit as well written and amazing!T-Dog wrote: ↑Thu Oct 17, 2019 5:47 pmThe name came from this well-written and amazing article. It wasn't an attempt to name the rivalry, but Georgia Southern printed t-shirts saying "Deeper Than Hate."

Re: Halloween is coming - about the GS rivalry
I would like to see Sunbelt #1 against Conference USA #1 each year and call it the Black and Blue Brawl. Both conferences should drop their G5 pre conference-season game. (This year we would not have played UNCC), play our conference championship a week earlier and then have rivalry weekend the last weekend with the Black and Blue Brawl of Sunbelt #1 vs Conference USA #1.
If you are not the champion you play a set crossover from Conference USA or the closest ranked with the closest distance. If ODU is number 2 and UNCC is number 12 in their conference and we were number 2. we would play ODU instead of UNCC or Marshall or WKU.
Let the conference AD's make the call on who plays who and where. You know you have a winnable game with someone close by. Lots of these games will be to be bowl eligible.

I’m among the crowd that kinda likes “Deeper than Hate.” Also, as I’ve mentioned in previous threads about basically the same thing, the Black and Blue Bowl is the name of the Memphis- Southern Miss rivalry. However, since Memphis moved conferences, that rivalry has been dormant.

I would rather not associate ourselves with the bottom dwelling conference of College Football. In order to create a rivalry, they need to have some worthy opponents.spacemonkey wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2019 8:40 pmI would like to see Sunbelt #1 against Conference USA #1 each year and call it the Black and Blue Brawl. I know this was a replay and the audio was real time, but every time I watch that I think they're getting super hype to Journey.
