We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: Moving Back to FCS????
Why is everybody hating on this thread? OP wasn't saying we SHOULD, he was simply asking if he thought it would be better for us to dominate at the FCS level if we KNEW we would be a mediocre FBS team forever. I'd still pick the Camelia Bowl over the FCS playoffs, but it's an interesting thing to think about for 5 minutes. Lighten up, guys.

I hope "Genuine Mountaineers" aren't all condescending buzzkills like you.asu66 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 15, 2019 3:26 pmGenuine Mountaineers don't waste much time delving into hypotheticals. We're too busy living and working in the real world. Once you get a real job and move out of Mom's basement you won't have time to run down every rabbit hole chasing conjecture, wild imagination, indeterminate speculation and unconfirmed rumor. If you do, you're career as a panhandler will shortly be launched unless Mom and Dad come through with a trust fund for ya.InFor6More wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2019 7:43 pmMy friends asked if I knew for a fact that we would never win more than seven games during a season over the next twenty years, would I rather go back to FCS if I knew we would win multiple national titles?
What are your thoughts on this hypothetical?![]()

Re: Moving Back to FCS????
The scenario being presented is completely out of date and is just a re-engineered version of threads that were beat to death before, during and just after the transition. Ot gets re-introduced in some modified version every time a program gets in trouble (Idaho for example). If a "friend" introduced the topic and not an App, it has the feel of condescension since the idea is basically questioning the move to FBS with a hypothetical built in to sanitize it. It's a tired, worn out topic and it has become a hair trigger because the fact is, we DID move up and we aren't going back. We've been incredibly successful and there would be no guarantees if we moved back down. There's really just no redeeming feature to the topic.MrCraig wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2019 3:25 pmWhy is everybody hating on this thread? I'm not trying to go on the attack. I'm trying to actually answer your question. I hope my perspective helps.
