Re: Price and Lott to play?
I'm undecided about this whole thing but one factor which must be considered is which game will hurt the team most if players are held out because of this disciplinary decision. If in fact, the offense was hazing, I have no sympathy for bullying and have no sympathy for them. I'm not saying other offenses aren't any worse. It's just that bullying is a personal peeve of mine to say the least, especially in these times.
I also think it is not lack of transparency to not disclose the particular violation

Hear that - I just think the rule creates conflict not the implementation.

I see your point, but honestly I don't see the impact on Montana being an issue here. It's not our job to make things easier on our opponent. Teams withhold injury information all the time in order to make the opponent's task more difficult. Honestly, Montana knows we're likely to air it out a bit regardless of Price's presence. How would their preparation have changed....learn to jump higher? As long as we're following the rules and discipline is maintained on the team, that's all I really care about. I'll have to trust the coaches at this point.asumike83 wrote:Let's think about if the shoe were on the other foot as well. If we had prepared all week for a Montana offense that was without their #1 WR due to suspension and their coach announced last night that they decided to let him play after all, I'm confident that there would be some serious criticism of the move from our fans.
That being said, I don't think this will determine the outcome. Price is extremely talented but he will also be making his first career start. Malachi looked great in his place last weekend and I wouldn't be surprised if he catches more passes than Price tomorrow.

Both Price and Lott made plays tonight that allowed APP to have the biggest win in a number of years. I'll take this win, it is huge builder for our young team.
FWIW, Just looking at the teams attitude, play, and demeanor there is a world of difference than last couple years, which indicates the coaches have control.

I don't know what they did. I trust JM to do the right thing. Thus,it wouldn't be fair for me to have an opinion on this.

not trying to rag you, but was it mentioned somewhere that hazing was the offense? as best as i can uncover it was something completely separate from an issue like that. how can a freshman haze anyone anyway?JCline0429 wrote:I'm undecided about this whole thing but one factor which must be considered is which game will hurt the team most if players are held out because of this disciplinary decision.
