Sometimes I think Cline just tries to stir the pot and make people dislike him. Maybe he likes the attention, regardless of positive or negative. It's worked.

Of course, he can post what he wants as long as it's within the rules, but that was my thought as soon as I saw the title of this thread.

I do believe it was done to get precisely the reaction it has gotten, but that isn't against the rules. Thus, it's still here. No rules violation. Not against the rules. Perfectly acceptable. Within allowable parameters. Is that clear?

No, it wasn't to get any type of negative nor nefarious reaction. It was simply to get some ideas on how our Apps would do on Saturday. As I said, I had not noticed Big C's regular prediction thread the week of the Michigan nor Campbell game.

PS. As your being a moderator of this MMB, it would not in the least hurt my feelings if you completely erased this entire thread. The world would not come to an end and we could all simply enjoy Big C's "column" today.

Looking forward to Big C's write up no doubt. That said, looking at their record since Fedora left, I wasn't initially all that concerned, but they played Alabama about as well as we played Michigan.

I would argue without too much analysis that Alabama would throttle Michigan.

We played Campbell far better than they did Alcorn State.... I know Alcorn State is far better but still its worth noting.

I was just asking a simple question because I looked in FAQ's and didn't see anything, and didn't see anything in the a "pinned" rules thead. Your answer implied the rules were broken because of the "that was my thought as soon as I saw the title of this thread".

Never mind however I'll be sure not to ask for any information about MMB rules because you'll take it so personal. Just don't complain because no one follows your "virtual rules".

For what its worth, I created my own site due to having an extraordinary amount of free time for a period of my life a couple years ago. I wrote about nearly every major sporting event for that period of time. It killed a lot of time and I enjoyed it. I had always wondered how many people I was reaching on the old delphi board. More curious than looking for an ego boost.

When the move was made to YC, we could see detailed statistics regarding how many people had viewed, not just commented, on a particular subject. So as my curiousity grew, I wanted to know how many people were actually reading what I had to say on Wednesdays during football season. In the end, by clicking on the article link every week, I get statistics, which I pay for. I dont receive any money for your clicks. I get no benefit besides the same enjoyment I have had since 2002 when I took over the prediction thread. Haven't missed an article since that time. Maybe there will be a day when I have to pass it off for whatever reason, but I dont see it. I took this baby and ran with it, and I do it all for the MMB. Just like our tailgates and my ridiculous number of tweets, I want the consumer/audience to have fun and stay informed about App atheltics, even if I have to do most of the grunt work.
