I would have dead legs after chasing the Citadel around all Saturday. Would give that as a reason if I was a player maybe. Not much offense, very little defense. End result is we got a butt whipping. A really good one. Doubt two additional players would have made a huge difference. Some additional planning might have helped a lot though.

If this is true I'm really getting concerned about our conditioning. It has seemed like our guys have been wearing down during games each week. It was understandable at ECU, but even in the cool weather against Montana we looked beat in the 2nd qtr. Are the coaches pushing too hard, or are we just not in as good of shape as years past? Disturbing either way.
Not so sure about your take on Montana - we played extremely well in the 2nd half - take away that 90 yard screen pass and we actually dominated them in the 2nd ---

They will be fine versus Chatty. Just wait and see.

I was 20 once never had dead legs. What an excuse. Laughable imo. Sounds like excuses we got about Michigan a few months ago partying etc...
Appgrad1 - you would be mistaken to not consider tired legs - it is a major problem top level coaches face all the time - you must have your guys in top shape but you must also have them fresh - granted it is more of a problem with basketball but it is a concern as well in college football ---

I'm talking in the 2nd qtr when Montana put 14 points on us and kept driving down the field. The defense was gassed at that point, and very lucky the half came when it did.

20 yr olds are indestructible. Got it. Just saying... I think the loss of Dillman is being felt.

maybe they just needed to get their 2nd wind - saw no problems at all in the 2nd half ---

Does sound like an excuse and not trying to pick a fight but if you never had dead legs at 20, you weren't working it enough. ;) The nice thing about being 20 is they don't last long.
The comments about depth everywhere concern me a lot. You get depth from playing others and experience. If our coaches don't have enough faith to play more folks, why dress them? Also, how did they make the team ?

I agree about depth in the backfield, not sure why we are r/s Holloway, especially when he needes to be getting experience for next year when he is projected going to be the main back.

last week our Rivals guy had reported that Chisolm might be back this week - I haven't seen a follow-up as yet - that's probably why we haven't seen Holloway ---

Didn't see that, thanks.

However you slice it, APP is currently the next play from "who's this QBing for us now?" Chisolm and Miller are gone after this season and we are green as a gourd at RB for next year unless, unless there is a JUCO waiting in the wings :?:

We sure need some XP behind QB and RB, desperately :?

After watching the UTC game:

Price and Lott alone:

10 catches, 130 yards, 2 touchdowns, 9 tackles, 1 interception.

Nothing more needs to be said in this thread!
