Symbols like GATA and The Rock are metaphors for our attitudes. So for both of us it might be a bit of football culture shock to come in and win like both have in The Belt this season. I'm convinced it will continue for both schools.
Yes, even though we were having a tough time and coming together at the beginning of the season, we still had an expectation to win. I did not see this same attitude with the SBC teams. When they did win it seemed more like a surprise to them.

The team looked different to me when they came through the stadium lot Saturday. Usually, Satt is along side the team greeting folks and the team has a relaxed expression as they look around at the tailgaters. Not Saturday.... Satt was inside a group of about 10 players, no one was talking, they all had a very determined look, as someone said, businesslike. They were serious and focused. Any thoughts of an upset by Idaho went away as I turned to my buddy and said, "They are going to kill Idaho today."

I am so ready for next year. Go App.

I know we'd like to believe it's better and a step up, bigger stage, etc.. but both of us (GS and APP) have pretty much rolled through it. Of course yall improved greatly during the year after a slow start and we are undefeated after changing coaches, systems-to some degree, and replacing all of the running backs. I guess I'm wondering if the Sun Belt was a step up.. It has almost been too easy. Jut throwing that out there as food for thought..
I don't think so at all. In the past two seasons, the Sunbelt posted a very impressive Bowl record, including wins over Tulane and ECU. While this year appears to be a down year, even teams like USA, Troy, and ULM are close to being really good.
