In answer to the parking space question, if you do not request a move and your Yosef membership stays at the level it was last year, you will not be moved. No move unless you request. Now... in the case where demand exceeds the product, the office will contact members for the opportunity to keep current spaces.

Make this easy on yourselves...just join Yosef Club and buy season tickets. You owe it to your school and you owe it to yourself. You will have all year to pay for your Yosef commitment and you KNOW there is absolutely no where you would rather be on 6 weekends next fall than in one of America's 20 best stadium atmospheres. If you can’t make it to a game, it is easy to sell the tickets...but I’ll guarantee you that if you buy season tickets you will find a way to make it up the mountain more than you would have! Win-Win!

But, I don't get the expansion of the $500 donation-required seats.

A lot of people are going to have to pay $250 more for their season tickets. I'm not sure how that increases demand for them.
I'm not sure everyone will need to up their Yosef giving. I'm a level up from the requirement for where my seats are. I like the location and until I am able to move into Club seats I will stay there.
One thing we do not know on the surface is how many people are at each level (I know I could look it up in game day progam, but am too lazy to do so). I'm sure administration has taken this into consideration. Also do we know how many Yosef individuals buy more than one season ticket or pool their $ pledge to get desired parking?

Think of it like this: "Purchase 5, get 1 (Miami) FREE!"

Individual game tickets for every game except Miami are $40. $40 x 5 = $200. Same price as a season ticket.

A couple is looking at probably $2,000+/yr in savings compared to what they've historically paid. Ultimately, people just have to make the decision if paying a little more to sit in a particular section is worth it to them. The market is the market and the proof is in the pudding. If these changes don't bring the desired results, the market will correct itself and you'll see a different approach next year.
I don't see how you can argue these changes are market driven. Tickets were quite easy to come by this past season. If anything they seem to be made in anticipation (hope?) that that won't be the case this year. I just think they're jumping the gun.
These changes are driven by ...its time for us to pay more rather increase student fees. We've had the greatest deal going for decades and it's time to pay up for the level of football we are now seeing. We aren't in Kansas anymore Toto.

Purchase 5 get 1 free...with a $500 surcharge.

The $200 price tag for season tickets isn't outrageous. It's a fine deal. But, season tickets are only $200 in two sections.

A pair of season tickets in several sections will cost you $900. It's $520 if you buy a pair of single-game tickets for each game...and you can be on the 50 (with the probable exception of the Miami game) for each one.

If the goal is to increase season ticket sales and Yosef Club membership, then I really don't understand why you raise the donation level for so many sections.

Many people will want to stay in the same section/seats and those who are able may decide that it is worth it to them to pay an additional $100 or $150 or 250 (annual Yosef donation) in order to do so. When we factor in addressing full cost of attendance along with many other issues such as salary support to assist in retention of coaches, we need greater revenue.

I have no problem wit the requirements/levels that are being set. I don't think it's outrageous at all. Does anyone know how our numbers compare to other schools? How much you have to donate to get season tickets/etc?

Changes in policy are made to drive changes in behavior. If the desired behavior isn't achieved the policy will be amended.

In reality if we avoid Thursday night games and the Thanksgiving games these changes will not deter the majority.

$500 Yosef scholarship donation if you want to sit in one of those sections. As you mention, there are cheaper alternatives - $100 or $250 donation levels as well. There are also more expensive options - suites and the gold seats. Honestly, the largest increase is $250, not $500.

While I already sit in a $500 donation section - I am not immune to the increases either, so I understand. I am being hit by a $55/ticket increase to the Youth tickets - all in for my Family its $125 more than last year. Do I like it? No. But I realize we have had a pretty good deal for years and I view it as an investment to the program as well as a testament to what the program has grown to.

Sorry for the long response, but I do want to touch on your statement of sitting on the 50 for $520, becuase I believe that is the exact mentality the 2016 ticket pricing and minimum donation thresholds is aiming to change. It appears the athletic administration is wanting fans/alumni to commit rather than hoping fans make a "gametime" decision to attend during gameweek.

With just over 4,000 season ticket holders last season, I appreciate the effort and look forward to seeing the results. We'll see how it pans out, but its more than has been done in recent years to drive increases to the donor base and commitment from fans (via season tickets). For that I have to commend DG and his staff.

I'll close with a quote a buddy of mine said the other day - "coming off a historic 2015 season and bowl win, Miami coming to Boone this year Wake next year - if not now, when will we?"

I believe minimum donations at a lot of places is in the $1,000's. I googled georgia southern and they have 5 sections, not club seats, at $1,200 for up to 4 tickets. Any additional ticket above 4 in those sections requires an additional $300 donation.

That's a good question. Leigh Morrow has left App for GaState, so I'm not sure to whom you'd address that request. You might try starting with Natalie Harkey.

I'll try and keep all these questions in mind for when we have our Yosef Advisory Board retreat the first weekend of February.
Speak to anyone in the Yosef Club, I had the same question after the bowl game and they talked to me about it. All you have to do is make the request.

First time season ticket buyer. When I log on and try to buy tickets it does not allow me to choose where I want to sit. Is this a problem anyone else is having? It also sends it to will call instead of my address

If these changes are going to be made then the administration needs to step up policing of the seating. I am tired of having to kick someone out of my GD seat EVERY game. The comment about $520 to sit on the 50 is valid. If these seats have people paying a premium to sit in them they should have someone at the base of the steps checking tickets. If someone is paying a premium for these seats the administration should charge walk-ups a premium on game day for these seats. For example if the seat is an empty premium seat the walk-up pays cost of that section divided by six plus the ticket cost. That is fair, not letting someone pay $40 to sit beside me when I paid $75 per game with the Yosef donation factored in. I give to Yosef because I want to not because I get my arm twisted. If the arm twisting is going to be amplified the by God it needs to be consistent!!

Slowly steps away from soapbox.

Checked my Yosef account and it is not showing my 2015 payment. I've emailed office, but wondered if anyone knew off the top of their heads if I should worry?

I believe placement of seats will depend on the priority point system. For example first season ticket holders at the $250 level seats would be placed in the "best" seats in those sections based on their points.

They should probably put out a FAQ regarding this.
