Their defense was solid, but that's about it. They still have El Cid, @ Samford, UTC, and @ S. Carolina left. I wouldn't be surprised to see them 2-2, and wouldn't be shocked if they went 1-3.

Our injuries are definitely taking a toll, but some of our experienced players are making the same mistakes as last year. We might have to go after some JUCO players on both lines and at QB.
You make a good point about their back-loaded schedule. How they do the rest of the way could make us look back on this loss differently. Personally, I think (aside from SC, of course) that the only team left on the schedule that may beat them is Chattanooga because they have a really strong DL. No question that they beat up on some cupcakes to get to where they are but for now, they are 6-1 with their only loss coming by 1 score on the road against one of the top teams in the country.

I thought their defense was really, really good. In my opinion, it is the best defense we've seen all season, ECU included. They kept us under 400 yards for the first time this season and got pressure on JJ all day. Some of that may be due to the attrition on our OL but I was very impressed with their D.

On the other side of the ball, we did have a speed advantage but that is what makes that wingbone offense so frustrating. All the misdirection and fake hand-offs keep the defense on their heels and negate the speed disadvantage. What they lack in speed, they made up in execution.

Wofford is a good team not a great team, same as ASU. This game could easily have gone our way but this time they had the luck on their side(and the horrible fumble call). Honestly I am baffled by the incredibly obvious fact that we can't stop a triple option offense. It's not a novel scheme in the SC, we've faced it for years but we are unable to stop it. It's used to keep the more talented offense off the field and it works like a charm against ASU.

there's a reason GSU and Wofford lead the nation in rushing every year - nobody consistently stops them ---

Air Force in the Fisher DeBerry days comes to mind quickly, and when they execute properly they will get yards. Wofford does what they do very well. It doesn't make it any less frustrating to watch them slowly churn down the field.
My bad for making it sound like I was calling you out. That was not my intention. I just thought most people consider a loss to a "slow" offense as even more of a failure. I'm just pointing out that they are very good at executing slowly. I agree with you, it is much more frustrating to watch. As a spectator, it looks like our defense isn't trying. Let's show that we can stop the triple option on ESPN3 in front of a nation-wide (at least conference-wide) audience!

I would love a home game on Thanksgiving weekend. I will be up from Florida for the weekend and will bring 3 with me.
