I was on the road this weekend so didn't see it live. Watched it last night. What I learned was why they are o-6 and we are 3-2. I have no conclusions on the rest of the season.

Kohl does need to learn to not lock on his initial option. There were times when a certain receiver was the primary target and even if he was covered he threw it there anyway. He did get better as the progressed. His mobility made him the choice over Swann yesterday.

Swann is guilty of locking in as well, that Boise pick six is exhibit A.

I don’t disagree. Right now Kohl is more mobile and that likely will give him the edge. DL essentially said the same in his postgame comments. The game planned called rollouts, something Swann’s injury doesn’t really allow him to do.

We can't win with a QB that can't move. Our OL is too banged up to keep the pocket clean. I'd imagine Kohl starts the next two weeks at least.

Swann had three picks and you can get your nuts in a twist over them if you want, but only the first one was solely on him and he would tell you that. The third one was a situation where he was trying to throw it away and got hit which flattened the throw out and that’s where he was injured. You can have an opinion that “if” he made a good throw to Dubinion,it would have been a TD and not a pick 6. These guys are going to make bad throws and miss their marks from time to time. Stroman walks into the endzone yesterday if Kohl’ throw wasn’t slightly behind. Not every bad play is the result of poor decision-making.

Kohl's completion percentage was down because some of the receivers couldn't catch a cold at points yesterday. Swann seems to be willing to take more chances but Kohl seems willing to take off running. I think our issue is receivers and their route running and catching. Also, wasn't Mbake cleared to play? Not sure I even saw him out there.

100% with you regarding our receiving corps. It’s an average group as a whole and both QBs have had to deal with drops. You can’t rely on your defense to bail you out every week and that’s why I would prefer a healthy Swann if we were in a shootout.

I counted at least three unbelievable catches by OSU receivers yesterday.

I noticed the OSU receivers yesterday as well. They made some pretty incredible catches, balls that bounced around multiple times and really had no business being caught. I thought a couple of times that was gonna be bad juju for us-normally when a team is making unreal plays, they win.

One critqiue I have as someone who cant make many games and usually isnt home in the middle of the day on a Saturday to watch TV is why hasnt the App radio broadcast been on the Varsity app lately? This is threee straight games where I have had to listen to the other team's broadcast. (well really two since I turned off Boise early). Those Beav guys were a couple of sadsacks - I guess covering a team going 0-6 will do that to the radio guys.

App’s stream is no longer on Varsity, due to change in marketing contracts. But you can listen on the App State site. Just hit play, don’t choose “audio only” as that option doesn’t work.

That is what I figured, but it was weird since it stopped working about half way through the 3rd quarter of the Lindenwood game, then was listed for the So Miss game but wouldn't load - just the spinning wheel, then delisted completely for Boise and Oregon State.
