If we are allowed to ask; I’d like to know what went wrong, what’s being done to fix it short term and long term how it never happens again. 6-6 can never be acceptable regardless of what reasons or excuses are given.

Why would you not be allowed to ask? Go to a basketball game on any weekend and you are bound to see Gillin, Clark and Watts there. Shawn has always been gracious and approachable. Just keep in mind that while you may be asking the questions for you, he has probably been asked a couple times already.appst89 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 18, 2022 1:23 pmWhat questions are we allowed to ask? Re: Possible transfer situations
I get confused about all of this terminology especially since some of the recruiting/transfer stuff has changed. What exactly does "committed" really mean now as it pertains to a portal guy? Have we actually offered a spot to a player and he has "committed" to accept? Or is a guy simply saying he's committed to coming if given a spot with a scholarship? None of it seems real until a document is signed and the athlete is accepted to the school. I really hope we aren't just trying to fill spots quickly and taking marginally talented players.

Re: Possible transfer situations
You are correct. Transfers aren't "committed" until the grant is signed and basically at class in January. Until then both parties are only "committed" by words. Early NLI day is 2 days for HS and Juco's. Once they sign most times you can breathe a sigh of relief. Late NIL starts in February.bigdaddyg wrote: ↑Mon Dec 19, 2022 7:30 amI get confused about all of this terminology especially since some of the recruiting/transfer stuff has changed. We must be scanning for diamonds in the rough, which I'm cool with. Hopefully, they can add some depth. Looks like Paul played some in Kansas, and lost his spot, looks like Collins could not crack the depth chart at Rutgers..ASUFan4863 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 18, 2022 8:52 pmChanging topics here…. Or maybe some folks are arguing just to argue And nothing will appease them. I read that entire exchange and what I took away from it was you can find the answers you are seeking if you ask the right questions in the right way. That’s not really a blowing sunshine as you put it position. In fact it’s pretty sound advice in general. But if people approach the AD the way they approach this message board would it surprise you if the response was lacking?App91 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 18, 2022 10:54 pmThe Sunshine Squad will never allow such questions! The ax some are grinding on here is down to a nub. The season is over. Some coaches have been let go. Some players are moving on, but yet the bloodlust by a handful on here who still “demand” answers and accountability is bordering on insane. But the most glaring part as is they can’t ever really say what they want answers to.
No One is “shouting” anyone down for staying in a perpetual state of outrage. But when every response given is dismissed as blowing sunshine or being ok with mediocrity, then it becomes apparent those folks aren’t really interested in hearing anything outside their echo chamber.
