Any news on Canty? "Experts" thought he would decommitt after his visit to Minnesota. He hasn't yet. Has Minnesota cooled on him?
Sorry it took so long to reply. Things are getting dicey here on the east side with ice. Got to go back out again.

As for Canty he's so close to liquid nitrogen he's about to turn into vapor. He's just looking for a BCS offer closer than Minn. There are several BCS teams giving him a look right now with, as mentioned above, Vandy and TAMU being the longest looking but don't be surprised if another SEC or ACC team even closer pulls the trigger. Our staff is already planning like he's all but gone with the interest given to Eaton and Haralson (in home visit to Eaton tonight). And from what I've been reading WR Shaedon Meadors may not be as far out as I once thought. Sounds like they had a great visit yesterday.

Personally Canty is my most likely to decom and has been for a while. See no reason to change that.

I've got some more things to say about some other players but got to get back to the mess. Wouldn't be surprised to see power out in a few minutes either so if I'm gone for a while know I'll be back ASAP. ;)

I've added Senior season highlights to commit QB JP Caruso's player page.

I heard from a friend today that Dillon High School football coach Jackie Hayes told him that said one of their kids by the name of Blue was going to APP State next year. Did we sign RB Joe Blue or ILB Joe Blue from Dillon SC? Think Joe is a Shrine Bowler? Dillon usually places players on BCS teams every year.

For those of you that are wondering wth Dillon is, South of the Border on I-95, they are the perennial 2A powerhouse of SC with about 5 state titles in six seasons and a bunch more over the years. They played NC 4AA finalist Mallard Creek 27-21 this season, Mallard's closest game. where is the talent disparity with size of the schools?

Anyone know? Thanks!

FB/ILB Joe Blue (6-0, 235) of Dillon is a South Carolina commit, according to the recruiting websites.

There is also RB Anthony Blue from Dillon. That is probably him. 247 shows App as his only offer and it was one from April

he also needs to gain some weight. he's 5'10 152 according to 247

BS, Sorry it took me so long to answer. I knew as soon as I saw your post who you were referring to. RB Anthony Blue (5′ 10″ 160) of Dillon High School in Dillon, SC has been on the list since April 18th. He only shows as having an offer on one site but there is nothing about a commit. My guess is it's a PWO offer based on the fact that no other site shows it. I can do some double checking to see. I built a player page for him back then and he's listed in the RB's section of the Main Page. The only highlights I could find for him were 2012 highlights and a report about the championship last year. Both are on the Main Page but I'll put the link to the 2012 highlights on here also.

watched a little bit of his highlights. he's fast and make some quick cuts. definitely a type that would make you miss in the open field, but yeah, he's tiny. looks a lot like Desean Jackson

My typo, as I was trying to refer to both Blues and only typed Joe. Looks like Anthony will be a project to add muscle. He had a bunch of yards in the state championship game. Anyway, Dillon is a football machine. Glad to see APP sniffing around that program.

Several years ago, I emailed Mark Speir about another rb Jabo Lee. Dillon had. UT ended up signed the kid, but he landed at a JC in Kansas because of grades.

I had this info yesterday and even went ahead and built a player page with video for him on the Main Page but didn't post it because I was working to confirm. The staff is on the road hitting some all-star games and in-home visits but I'll just say that DB Junior Sigalo (6′ 2″ 190) of Arabia Mountain High School in Lithonia, GA has received a reported offer from App. I'm working to confirm the offer as are John and Mike at 24/7 but I'm going ahead and adding it. It fits that it would happen now with the Gray situation.

As I said the coaches are on the road hard this week. QB Penny Smith and teammate RB Daryl Rollins have visits scheduled for today and there are others going on. I'll post them as I get confirmation of them or offers come out.

I'm going to be putting more up in the next few days. I know everyone is looking for information and I have some things to say about some of our recent visitors and recruits we're after but since we're an open site I want to be careful what I say for right now. If anyone has any question about a specific player(s) just PM me and I'll give you what I know and what I think. This tight rope I'm on is a single strand of dental floss. :D

Things will get better as the final pieces of the 2014 class take shape. And I'm pretty much always around trying to do my best for everyone. First time I've really wished my birthday, Christmas, and the whole month of January would just go away.

I hope we are looking at this young man for 2015, Rocky Reid from Concord. He has over 3,000 yards this season and still has the NC 3A Championship game to play this Saturday.

I'm sure he'll be looked at. Right now he is getting BCS interest and has already camped at UNC and taken an unofficial to Clemson. He holds reported offers from UNCC and Ohio but I'm sure that list is going to be adding several BCS offers soon enough. He already has a high 3 star on 24/7 and he's even been rated a 3 star by ESPN, which almost never happens this early. He has a good senior season and he may go to a 4 star.

Geez I saw 3,000 yards and thought QB. Wonder how he is compared to Elijah Hood who is considered the best in NC for 2014?

The safety push is on it appears. In addition to the reported offer for FS Junior Sigalo we also visited Rivals 2 star and 247 2 star/composite 3 star FS Andrew Soroh (6' 2" 190) of American High School in Hialeah, FL.

Andrew Soroh ‏@DC__9ine
Appalachian State just visited me #Mountaineers

He committed to FIU back on July 31st so he's not showing any additional offers but several interests. Not unusual for a very early commit. I'll be watching to see if an offer is extended and will add him to the Main Page.

The staff is on it and all over the south, it appears. Congrats to them on the hard work and praying that they stay safe in their travels.

From Twitter:

DarrelL Haralson #11:

I can't lie. #AppState black might look good on me.....

Could not find anything on him on the recruiting page....but it was a quick scan and I could have missed it!

WR Darrell Haralson (6' 4" 220) of Smyrna High School in Smyrna, TN received a visit by the staff. Highlights below.

This was posted back on Dec 3rd. He doesn't hold a offer from App yet but has been receiving interest. I had him in the considering section but it's not there anymore. It must have disappeared during one of my updates. It's happened before. I'll put him back up.

Mr. Haralson's page is back up in the Considering App State section. I'll move it up if we offer. He's got a visit here scheduled for Jan 24th and the coaches have visited him twice so there is interest. We'll see how everything shakes out.
