Can we agree that hiring an OC in 2026 is a must?

That said, will DG insist on DL hiring one AND find the money for the hire?

If an OC is hired, will DLo actually give him the authority to run the offense and (possibly) call plays?

Or would he pay lip service to an OC because he’s an NFL offensive mastermind? ;)

One wonders.

DL handled the presser better than the postgame radio interview.

Once again he gave a cold answer about the post game locker room question.

A seasoned coach would have pulled an anecdote from the conversation, something of the nature of proud of the seniors for giving their all with all the adversity they faced these last few years and we’ll build on the foundation they showed.

I appreciated Brandon Turner’s comments to address that comment as well.

You’re the Head Coach of a Program, bring unity with fan base that was reeling after that one as well.

Thanks to all the third and fourth year players that without a doubt had the roughest 3-4 years of this program and never gave up. If you have time go listen to the rewind of the postgame and Larkins comments. That dude have his ALL.
I’ll start this post by again firmly stating he should get AT LEAST, another year. Because I really do believe in stability and getting the right guys in place to match scheme etc. I think consistency is one of the most underrated things in high level athletics.

All that said, I don’t believe him. I never have. He reminds me a lot of Canales with the Panthers. Who I’m also ambivalent about. They say all the right “coach stuff”, but I don’t believe them. You can tell they say it because it’s “the right thing to say”, not because they mean it. And that was especially noticeable with Loggains talking about the players after the game last night.

Your instinct is correct imo. He has a different goal than being the guy who turns us around. Only he knows what that is, but he seems to now realize he’s not Drink and can’t ride us to a bigger job
