Re: NEZ work today
I was in the band and we sat there during my time. I'd say they're not great seats, but have their moments. When the teams are making their way down the field toward the NEZ is exciting, but when it's going the other way you don't see much. The new NEZ are much higher up so I'm sure you'll have a better vantage point that I did. + perks of the hospitality.

Re: NEZ work today
I have no knowledge but I would assume that the people who pay big $$$ for those seats don’t want to have to worry about balls flying into their seats spilling their food and drinks everywhere. But that’s just my two cents

Re: NEZ work today
Only 1 more column needs to be bricked, then it looks like the brickwork will be finished!
Meanwhile, I see a pair of mini "gatehouses" being built in the courtyard. I bet those will form part of the new West Gate.

Apologies if this question has been asked/answered already but there are 27 pages in this thread and I'm not reading through all of them...
Why is there extra seating on the west side of the NEZ that isn't present on the east side?

Re: NEZ work today
The building was built center-offset to accommodate as much ground floor usable space inside the NEZ as possible. As such, the stairwell towers are offset as well...so when you see the seats wrapping in front of the stairwell tower on the west side - those seats line up with the sideline. If you were to have seats wrapping in front of the stairwell tower on the east side you'd be staring right down the middle of the east side lower level seats.kornegaylw wrote: ↑Wed Oct 14, 2020 11:08 amApologies if this question has been asked/answered already but there are 27 pages in this thread and I'm not reading through all of them...

Someday when the north endzone is connected to the East & West grandstands the offset NEZ building will add great character to KBS.

That offset could be a home field advantage over opposing kickers too.kornegaylw wrote: ↑Wed Oct 14, 2020 12:05 pmThank you HkyMtneer!HkyMtneer wrote: ↑Wed Oct 14, 2020 11:18 amThe building was built center-offset to accommodate as much ground floor usable space inside the NEZ as possible. Re: NEZ work today
With the columns finished, the last of that bright teal color is gone. Looks like they're starting to build the "tables" folks will sit at in the middle section.
I hope they can clean up the field-level area before our next game (whenever that is), and get those big dumpsters/construction vehicles away.

Re: NEZ work today
I was at KBS yesterday! It looks fantastic. Pictures and tv just can not capture what seeing it is like. Those dorms are YUGE! Justice is rubble. Going up Stadium Dr you see East side and some of west side but the dorms have cut a large part of that sight line out. NEZ complex feels close to the dorm but once construction fence and equipment are gone it should seem more open. It was a gorgeous day on the mountain yesterday. And it seemed all the busses from Happy Sunny Times retirement community dropped off all the residents on the Parkway.
