He's on the NC Shrine Bowl Roster where he will join App Commit OL Victor Johnson (SC Roster) in the game. Also he's good friends with App Commit LB Akeem Davis and has been to Boone several times on visits with him. I have moved him to the Commits section and have updated his player page.

As a West Forsyth grad, it pains me to say it but he looks good.

What year did you graduate from West? I'm class of 2000.

Oh definitely man! Once a Titan always a Titan! What a tough year we had this year. We were undefeated until that crusher against Reagan.

Great to see a NDHS commit. I hope he is very successful at App. I'm a '74 NDHS and '78 App grad. You should feel younger now JTApps1. I still waiting for more OL and DL commits.

Scary part is that he looks really lean... Could easily add 30-40 pounds!

I'm guessing Alex Taylor or Blake DuRant.

Alex Taylor. 6-8 290. Good GAWD that's a big boy out of HS.

I hope he can move.

Sorry Everybody. My net is a little slow tonight. We have commit #15.

OL Alex Taylor (6′ 8″ 290) of Berkeley Senior High School in Moncks Corner, SC has offered his verbal commit to App. He committed over offers from ECU and MTSU. I am updating the Main Page and his player page. I'll have a little more soon but wanted to get this posted ASAP.

Watched his junior video. Doesn't physically dominate like you'd think a guy his size would... But moves pretty well. We'll see, but I'm okay with that combo. Our coaches can teach him to be nasty... Not as easy to teach agility and quickness.

That's good! That was the one thing I didn't see in the video. If we can teach a guy like that to use his size to dominate, could have a pretty safe blindside for 4 years!

I was trying to update his page and couldn't respond. Just added his two stars from both Rivals and 24/7. His hudl package has a couple clips from his senior season but I'm checking to see if they are going to add a full season package to it and maybe some stats, since it's doesn't have any. I've been watching for one to show up and for one to hit youtube or another site. If they add to hudl it'll be on the same link. If I find one elsewhere I'll add it and post the update in here.

Awesome. Thanks, Moose. One thing I will say... Looks like a pretty fluid run blocker. Pinning guys on the edge and getting to second level and whatnot...

While coaching at some elite camps, I see a lot of the same issues with taller OL. They just aren't used to going against anyone close to their size and get low by bending at the waist instead of sinking their hips and bending the knees. His base is way to narrow for a guy his size. All things that are coach-able. The good part is that he is not stiff, has some fluidity. Coach Ledford will have him ready to go, may benefit immensely from a shirt and could easily put on 20-30 lbs on that frame.
