Great 3rd post. You must be one heck of a coach. Maybe we should hire you for your incredible insight into the game of football.
No we don't play fursome or wcu any more and should not even mention them anymore. We were bitch slapped and embarrassed. This was a chance to stand on a big stage and we could not handle the moment this was a huge opportunity and we blew it. For fundraising and legitimatesy and we choked. Cannot get this back. Stop talking trash shut up deal with it. We cannot get this opportunity back this will be with us forever the moment was too big and we let it get by. No shot at furthering our program
It is a bad loss and it stings but we will have many more opportunities to further our program. Its a loss to a top 25 team from the ACC, lets not make it more than that.

I made the 1st response indicating we need to find an O and it was made while still in the heat of frustration. Purely emotion with points left on the field. After marinating and reflecting on my 3 hour drive back to Raleigh, we did do some good things on O today. Was good to see Moore finally show up for the '16 season and have a good drive.
My biggest frustration really was our seemingly historic ineptitude to stop a team when they go Jet. Florida A&M, stAte, even Tennessee, for as good as we played, gave us fits when they went oregon style fast. That 1st quarter was a dagger. Even with that, we had a shot in the 3rd. Had we stopped them on that 3rd and long after the Burns TD, I really thought it was ours. KBS was electric at that moment, unfortunately it wasn't meant to be.

This was our chance to jump start our journey to being the next Boise State, sure, but it's not the end of the world. The bandwagon might be a little lighter, but we will be just fine and continue to get deeper as an FBS team. When Cox went down so did the heart and soul of our offense. I'm proud of our program for even being in this position only two years removed from a jump in subdivisions. We need perspective. We do not suck. Even very good teams s**t the bed every once in a while. See Florida State.

Go watch the replay on watchespn.com - very obvious and bad hold, and one McElroy pointed out was pointless because the corner was playing man and not watching the ball. The route should have been run to take the corner away from the run, and pin him in.
I don't see that play, and I can't call up the entire broadcast on my phone. Still, I didn't ask if it was a hold. I asked when the flag was thrown.

It occurred about 15 yards down the field.

If the call is correct then why do you care when the flag was thrown? It occured at the 30:30 mark of the complete game broadcast. Marcus was at the 30 when the flag is flying through the screen.

Thank you. And Because I wanted to know, and Google wasn't going to answer it for me. Now I'm good.

Maybe I'm biased, but I don't think it was any worse than what happened to our DBs on every single one of those bubble screens.

This was a painful loss and very disappointing, but any reasonable fan knew it was a possibility. We just didn't want to believe it (myself included). We have further to go than we thought and Miami is better than we believed. Yes, our Defense did look lost at times and we absolutely HAVE to figure out a way to defend a hurry up offense. That weakness combined with the athletic Miami receivers and Kaaya's near flawless performance were just too much. When we scored in the third to make it 24-0, we had momentum and we were finally executing. Miami then hits two long passes on consecutive series to again take the crowd out of the game and break out momentum. Not many QBs could drop those passes to a receiver in stride. He was in a zone and we couldn't answer.
Miami had two warm-up games before this one and has a week off to prepare for Georgia Tech. They were focused on this game and we caught their best shot. They played like a very solid top 25 team and if they continue to play like this, they'll have an excellent season. Give credit where credit is due!
We do have a lot of work to do but I still think we will continue to improve. Our Sunbelt schedule is looking tougher every week and there is no week "off" in sight. If we learn our lessons and improve, we can still win a conference championship but we are going to have to play better than we did this weekend to do it. It is achievable and I'll there for the ride.
I hope we learn some lessons quickly because Akron is better than expected also.

Some of you people are pretty idiotic. Satt said it best when he was quoted "there's not one player on our roster that Miami wanted." Theres a reason they are called a Power5 school. We're a sunbelt school with 2 years and change in the FBS under our belt and we still have guys who were recruited to play FCS. Miami did exactly what they were suppose to do, some mental mistakes did happen but hey it happens. Some of y'all need your expectations adjusted and brought back down to reality.

What will be more telling than yesterday's performance will be how we bounce back against a strong Akron team. It is what it is, time to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and get back into the game.

We're 1-2, right where we're supposed to be. Chill out. Let's make adjustments and see what happens the rest of the way.

Everyone need to chill the hell out. I mean yes we got spanked and did not play near our best game. We couldn't stop the quick pass and the d couldn't get the calls in. That's on the coaches. But we will learn from this and come out hungry against Akron. The world isn't over. And kudos to all of the fans who stayed for the entire game. I wanted to leave, but my better half said I should stay. Gotta love the wife.

Yesterdays game reminded me of the movie "The Replacements." Okay just stay with me and see my point. After their first game, they had the first after game meeting. Coach McGinty game come into the room and wrote the word FEAR on the chalkboard. He asked the team what it meant to them. They went off all types of things they were afraid of. Then he asked Shane Falco what it meant to him. When he spoke he gave the word snowball. The team asked for his explanation. He said that when playing in a game you make a mistake, then another then you focus on the mistakes and then they grow and grow. Then you loose focus and nothing goes right with the individual play and then gets frozen without thinking in not another mistake instead of playing their position as they should. That to me is my thoughts on what happened to the team yesterday. The more time you focus on the mistake instead of what you trained in practice things can grow into a mess and you get it out of making the correct response to the situation of the play before you.

I like this. It's very true. One mistake on the big td run on the first play and snowball.

Some of yall crack me up. When I posted, in another thread, that Miami was pissed about coming to Boone and there was no way Richt was going to lose this game; well......some of yall threw hate my way. I can also go back and search posts and find ones where some of you unrealistic fans thought we were going to win this game and finally "arrive" at the pinacle of the football world. For those that still think we are a powerhouse, wake up. We are a good team that has one hell of a coach and staff that makes us better than we are.
