Re: Official Red Wave prediction thread
Two outstanding defenses. Two different offenses but with similar capabilities. This one is tough to predict. This may come down to whoever blinks first. In honor of these two defenses, my prediction is:
The fighting Dexter Coakleys - 21
The fighting DeMarcus Wares- 17

Re: Official Red Wave prediction thread
This has the makings of a classic game for the championship nail biter. We know App can shut down the run, and we saw them early in the season pressure a QB. From the looks of it, this will be about getting penetration into the Troy backfield and putting pressure on the QB to slow that passing attack. Offensively, App needs solid execution. Limit the turnovers and costly penalties, stay ahead of the chains with the running game and the Mountaineers will put up enough points.

I've already made my prediction. But, before moving on let me say we were one dropped pass away last year from losing. It should be another nail bitter, however, in the end App will once again prevail.

I don't know people...I'm getting a feeling that Troy may be over-rated...I previously predicted a down-to-the-wire 3 point win but I'm officially changing it to a 3 score victory. App 37 - Troy 20

Re: Official Red Wave prediction thread
Both teams have been slow starters in a lot of their games this year. It will be interesting to see which, if either, coach will be agressive in the first half. I think both will start fairly conservative and then open the playbook at after about three drives. Looking for a lot of scoring in the second half by both teams. First one to 30 wins. App scores a defensive TD to win.

38-us
28-them
Our defensive secondary takes one or two from their pass happy qb.
Our 2 running backs leave their defense tired and their fans screaming, "No Moore-Cox!"

Dang, Nostradamus! Since you were one of the few (maybe the only?) one to pick against us, at least you had the decency to nearly nail this prediction!Appdoggy wrote:I think we lose this one close.
