Re: El Cid discussion
I just want to see us perform to potential. If we struggle will be telling for the rest of the season. No reason for our guys to have an issue today. Hope to see some of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th string get some pt we could need the experience in November potentially

Re: El Cid discussion
I don't think we'll win by 40+ as many are expecting simply because Citadel runs a ball control offense. With the weather, I'd expect us to run more ball control as well. It's hard to beat someone by 5+ TDs if the offense only gets the ball 5 times.
That said, I don't expect the game to ever be in question. Hope to see some of the younger guys today. Really interested in seeing Moffitt at LB, Roberts at RB, and Tabscott/Burger at QB.

Re: El Cid discussion
Why would we only get the ball 5 times? Ball control only works if they actually move the ball, which they shouldn’t. If we only get the ball 5 times our defense has done a horrid job in getting stops and this game might not go in our favor. Get some 3 and outs and go score. Inferior opponent, beat who you’re supposed to beat. 48-17 appsAppStateNews wrote: ↑Sat Oct 01, 2022 12:40 pmI don't think we'll win by 40+ as many are expecting simply because Citadel runs a ball control offense. Re: El Cid discussion
If we get the ball only 5 times the criticisms from last week will get much much louder.

Re: El Cid discussion
Having the ball only 5 times is obviously facetious.... The point is even if we score every time and shut them out, with two ball control offenses, it may not be extremely high scoring.

Re: El Cid discussion
I agree (like 100% of the time) and was thinking the same about not having the ball much this game. Glad it didn't happen, but we had 1 play (TD) in the 3rd quarter. Could have very easily been the same for the other 3 quarters too. Just glad it wasn't.AppStateNews wrote: ↑Sat Oct 01, 2022 2:35 pmHaving the ball only 5 times is obviously facetious....
