9 hour drive from Raleigh. Talk me into it.
I’m in RAL, wake forest specifically, tempting to go in on a roadtrip… do you have any spots that are app state bars/restaurants locally? There’s a brewery, Compass Rose, to my knowledge that is an app state spot. Curious if you know of any others?

Triangle Alumni Chapter is having a viewing party at R&D Brewing, Seven Saturdays Taproom, on Capital.

Anyone know of a watch party in Hickory or Denver/Mooresville area?

That would be a blast having a giant watch party in the Holmes Center.

Hoptown is the gathering place for App LKN almuni chapter. It may be the only game on their TV screens and it will be full of App fans.

Is Troy's field natural grass or artificial turf? Just thinking about the amount of rain forecasted.

Google search says they play on "AstroPlay", an artificial surface that closely resembles grass in feel and appearance. My guess is that it drains better than a natural field.

Odds Still Troy -6.5. I keep seeing all these articles talking about how many games Troy has won since the hail mary. How they have only lost to ranked teams this year and how badly they want to win this one ro get back for the hail Mary last year. Don't get me wrong, it will be a tough game as tough or tougher than vs the Dukes. All I can say is the head swelling sounds very similar to JMU undefeated and hosting GameDay. Too many distractions. I hope we see another good App State victory for the title! For sure it will be a close one.

I'm thinking under. Something tells me this could be a defensive game. May come down to field goals. Troy kicker 18 of 22 longest 49. App guy that's no good 16 of 19 longest 54! Plus 2-2 over 50 yards. I can always settle for another hail mary but I might not survive it.

Hope the wet weather isn't a factor since we make a living throwing the ball.

I don’t think that the rainy weather is a factor in the passing game. Rain and wind would be. Wet weather benefits the receivers because they no the routes.

If it does I hope we use throws to RBs in the flat like we did at JMU.

Can Gameday come to Troy on Friday? Because football fans just cannot get enough of seeing McAfee in a wife beater…

…said no one

Gameday will be at the SEC championship game in Atlanta, of course. I literally don't think they've ever done a show on championship week that wasn't at the Big 10 or SEC championship. I get it, those are the biggest games of the day, but how many folks are going to be standing outside Mercedes Benz Stadium in downtown Atlanta on Saturday? 100?

Looking for some Championship coverage? Got two options for those interested.

TJ & I were invited to appear on the Troy Boyz podcast that's out now (link below). They have a great show and they will also be returning the favor tonight on our show. Stop by for comments, questions, or just some trash talk with Joe, Byrd, & Seabass!
