I have been a season ticket holder since 2001 and if clark is still coach next year I won't be renewing. Its sad to see this great program falling to the levels we have this year. We aren't even competitive.

And if we run the table the next year, you'll be at home listening on WKBC or watching on a different cable package each week.

What do you see that makes you think that is possible? We won’t even win 7 games in a year we were picked to win the Sun Belt this year so I have a hard time thinking it’s possible.

I agree, but I just wish somehow it would happen. Hell, I remember when the fire Moore crowd was raving about Jerry missing so many opportunities to win National Championships then he won 3 in a row and they still didn't shut up. Raved about him and Laney holding us back for decades. Some people are never happy or just jealous or too cowardly to admit they were wrong. Sometimes, I wonder if they wouldn't be pissed off if we did somehow have a big winning streak next year. It's not going to happen but if it did, it still wouldn't end the negativity. Somebody on here has to find just a ray of positivity or hell, everybody is going to jump ship. including the players, staff and families. Heck, if I was a player reading this crap I'd be looking at transferring ASAP. We cut off our own noses.

Maybe we need new coaches or maybe not. However, we need better tackling and people being the right positions. Coaches are not doing the arm tackling and whiffing on tackles. I know you are going to say that the coaches are responsible. I agree. But I've seen players this year miss tackles that they made last year. Did they forget? Coaching can only go so far. The players have to do the on-field stuff. If you get rid of coaches you need to replace players, which then opens up a new can of worms. Then how long do you give to new guys to mesh together.

I heard that from multiple people as well. Shawn is 64%, which is solid, but when you consider where we were before he took over and the current trajectory that is the problem. When your best years are your first 2 and you are on a decline that is not the trend you look for. This team completely belongs to Shawn so it falls on him.

64% with 6-0 against FCS. They’re still wins, and other coaches had them too, but those definitely fluff the % a little.

Exactly. Need to be at 70% when you include the FCS wins to be at our standard. If you remove those FCS wins and we only win 2 more this year, which is what I think is fair to expect, that would put his record at 33-25 (56.8%) against FBS competition with a trend towards is dropping based on last 3 years of his 5-year stint.

Jerry had a real problem in that he had Laney as AD. The minute Laney left we won 3 titles. I think we would have won at least 2, maybe 3, prior to 2005 with a better AD. The doubts by fans and media are legit with our standard and how it has gone the last couple years.

Still trying to figure out on what basis it was decided we would win the Sun Belt. I am being serious. Who on earth thought we had the horses to run that race? Better than we are? Yes I did. Win the Belt? How?

App finished last season strong, brought back most of the team, and every other good team in the Belt lost their coach.

Lost way too much quality. I just can't see it. Still don't see who on earth could have picked us.

I think the media and the coaches picked us as well as the preseason publications. So yeah , there was some kool aid going down. On a lighter note , a former coach told me yesterday that we have the worst pair of offensive tackles in the history of college football. I had to laugh.

Charlie Cobb sucked as an AD -- Capel hire, the Moore transition debacle, never improved a facility except for the press box. Scoreboards were awful when Cobb left.
