This is 100% true. JMU fans probably were very nice to their FCS opponent. I loved meeting Penn State people and heartily chuckled when I said we're here to win. I doubt they treat Ohio State, Maryland or Pitt fans the same way
We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Q: What's the difference between a snowman and a snowwoman?
A: Snowballs.
Sorry. I think of this joke every time I see the thread title. Now you will, too.

I can say for a fact that the "F*&* U JMU" chant was used by students at least as far back as the 2006 game. Although I was far from a student at that point, we sat close to their section and that chant was very clearly be spoken. This is not new behavior.JTApps1 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2024 8:21 amI don't enjoy my six year old daughter listening to that. Our fans used to have more class than this. Having to live around JMU folks on the regular, they could use a good effing.t4pizza wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2024 11:38 amI can say for a fact that the "F*&* U JMU" chant was used by students at least as far back as the 2006 game. Re: Snowballs
I was very disappointed in our fans. It wasn’t just snowballs. It was ice. People were throwing them at the JMU sideline from the upper level. This went on the entire game. Folks making arguments that they had on football equipment. The female trainers weren’t neither were the coaches. My son also works the visiting sidelines at home games. He didn’t get hit but if he did and I could have found who did it there would have been a fight in the stands. This drunken mob mentality is utterly disgraceful.

As a lifelong EAGLES fan I can tell you 2 things
1- the App State admin needs to be prepared for snowball throwers and needs to deal with it strictly.
2- what Ahole thinks it's funny throw snowballs at a team or on the field? Only an Ahole would.

Re: Snowballs
I am not debating you, but where did they get the ice? In my section it was an inch of just blown snow. There was no way that was making any kind snowball -- and certainly not ice. Did they not clear all the sections or something?ASUchipman wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2024 11:41 amI was very disappointed in our fans. It wasn’t just snowballs. It was ice. Re: Snowballs
I was only two years out of school then, and sat right behind them during that game. There were likely some saying, but not the majority of the student section. CCU took it to another level the past few years. Guess our students are following their lead.t4pizza wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2024 11:38 amI can say for a fact that the "F*&* U JMU" chant was used by students at least as far back as the 2006 game. Re: Snowballs
It was melted snow which forms hard ice balls. Tell you what, go stand on the field and let me throw one from the upper deck and hit you and see if it’s ok then. A snowball fight among friends is fun. If you aren’t a willing participant, it’s assault.704App wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2024 12:24 pmI am not debating you, but where did they get the ice? I absolutely agree with you. But what I'm asking is where they got it from? Did they not clear every section?ASUchipman wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2024 1:10 pmIt was melted snow which forms hard ice balls. The stuff I had was in no way going to hurt anybody or anything. You couldn't even really make a snowball with it. It was all just freshly wind blown drifts and not sticky at all.

Re: Snowballs
Imagine if snowballs were available for the JMU game 2 years ago. Those refs would have died. And everyone here would have been throwing them, even the ones condemning it.

Re: Snowballs
I don’t condone the throwing of anything on the field. Whether it be snowballs or mustard bottles, it’s stupid. As for the F*$# word, it’s used so much these days that it’s been normalized. People aren’t phased by consequences any longer. It’s sad.

Two places I will never go back. Georgia Southern and jmu87ASUgrad wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2024 9:14 amAt JMU last year we were cursed at and flipped off from the time we started walking in, all throughout college game day, and up until we entered the App State Section. No, this doesn't justify some of our drunk ass students doing the stupid stuff, but it happens at a lot of other schools, and is not surprising to me any more. The Coastal & Ga Southern students are even up on another level.
