App goes against the best RB we've seen in quite a while (maybe since Mike Hart).

My head says UTk by 17 is a lower scoring game than vegas expects (60), my heart always gives us a chance.

Since I started following the program in 2007 I've never seen us adequately contain a duel threat QB.

Cheers to being wrong. Go Apps.

Dual Threat......Are you using a code word? :o

I wish. 'Twas an ordinary typo.

No prediction except Lamb will throw for more than 250 yds.

Greetings App State fans. Looking forward to the game, it should be a good one. And you that will be attending in person, you are in for a real treat. Neyland is a fantastic venue and most of our fans will be very hospitable (there are a few bad apples in every fanbase) and almost all the (non-SEC) visiting fans go out of their way to comment on the great experience they had. Look forward to your feedback after the game!!

I have actually been following your program a little for a long time. I used to be on the UT bowling team (late 70's) and we had home - away matches with you every year. Met some nice kids and we had a lot of fun. You have a good program and deserve credit for a good year last year. If you would have picked any year in the last 10 except this one or last year, I would be very concerned. But this Tennessee team has a chance to be special. Our D should be VERY good. Derek Barnett has a shot, as a junior, to become the all time UT sack leader. And that is saying something considering how many of our DE's have played on Sunday (Reggie White, John Henderson, Leonard Little...). He will be a handful for whichever tackle he lines up against. Couple of others like Corey Vareen, Kyle Phillips. Good, fast linebackers and the best back end we have had in a decade.

Hope we play the game with no injuries on either side. Good luck to you and hope you win the rest of them, I don't think you win this one.

UT - 35
APP - 10

I recall many years ago- late 80's I believe, when we played South Carolina. Them people were crazy. Me and a buddy tailgated with what seemed like some very cordial Gamecock fans. If memory serves we lost to them by about a TD or so, closer than expected. Needless to say them same folk weren't as cordial after the game. Guess a close win over little Appy State wasn't what they expected. All that being said I hope that no matter what happens tonight these same UT folks will be as nice.

That being said.

Us- 23
Them- 22

They shank a PAT
I laughed.

Not because you thought you would win, but that you think both teams score 3 TD's and a safety.

Well I am back to congratulate you guys on a very well played game. You have good athletes, a good team and your coach had you well prepared for the game. We were very lucky to escape with a win. Hope none of the injuries were serious. I think most were just cramps but it was hard to tell.

Good luck for the rest of the year and I hope those that went to the game had a great experience.

Believe all of it was cramps. Which was dissappointing, we used to be about the best conditioned team in the country (our opponents cramped, but not us).

Good luck the rest of the season. I have no fight in the SEC, but do dislike FL.

We kept the UT crowd quiet most of the game.

Not really a matter of conditioning, hard to stay hydrated in that humidity. Especially if you are used to Boone. Our guys practice in it every day. Imagine if it had been a day game.

And I noticed the lack of crowd noise. If it isn't a big rival game and things start to go South, our crowd will shut down. They will scream for 60 minutes or more against Florida or 'Bama, but not out of conference foes.

But we have played in other games with worse weather without all those cramping issues in years past.

ECU and LSU being 2 hot and humid ones.
