That is a solid plan...let us cabin members know how we can support the cause.appdaze wrote: ↑Wed Jan 07, 2026 1:25 pmAgents still have to be licensed in every state. There is an application process and you have to meet certain requirements in order to be an agent. What i haven't looked into is whether the ncaa is going to require anything of the agents. So there is some filtering due to having to be qualified for a license. One of my masters is in sports management and I had looked into what to do for a NC license last year. Im already qualified if I wanted to pay the few hundred bucks, I just wouldn't know where to go from there as I would have to build some sort of clientele and be licensed in every state I wanted to work in. It would be more work than you might think to steer everyone to App.

Sure but the same taxation applies to the agent as well. The agent is paying New Jersey state tax on the work he gets in New Jersey. Depending on the difference in the numbers, a lower fee in Florida or Texas could still net more money after taxes.BallantyneApp wrote: ↑Wed Jan 07, 2026 12:05 pmI’m sure schools in Lower tax states include that as part of their pitch. I’m assuming NIL funds are taxed. No way am I going somewhere like NJ, NY, CA, etc where they are going to tax half of my pay.
While New Brunswick isn’t the prettiest part of NJ it’s pretty nice and convenient to NYC. I’d definitely choose to live there over a lot of SEC and big 10 locales for ~ the same money
Only real option in NY is Syracuse which is nice down to the finger lakes but you’re starting to get into the NY plains and all the desireable locations for me are at least 2 hours east.
Cali is awesome to live mostly I’d choose any P4 school and SDSU
Also if Cal Poly SLO ever paid P4 wages I’d definitely live there

No clue why this account is reporting this but...
App State transfer QB Matthew Wilson has been in contact with Alabama State, Austin Peay, North Carolina Central and Western Carolina, he tells
@dj_cadden. He is also in talks to return to the Mountaineers.

Re: Portal time 25-26
I’d personally like to see what he could do with meaningful reps and more focus on his development. If we’re going to do RPO, having him and Singleton compete would be great. Very similar players based on my limited viewing.biggie wrote: ↑Wed Jan 07, 2026 3:13 pmNo clue why this account is reporting this but...

While I don’t know you personally, I’m confident you’d serve these players far better than most of the yahoo agents and “advisors” whispering in their ears right now.appdaze wrote: ↑Wed Jan 07, 2026 1:25 pmAgents still have to be licensed in every state. Also wouldn't be a huge shock if we went to FCS, then developed and transferred again. Or could just remain at FCS.NattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote: ↑Wed Jan 07, 2026 3:19 pmI’d personally like to see what he could do with meaningful reps and more focus on his development. So I am wondering which state the agent gets taxed in if his player is in NC and the target school is in SC.t4pizza wrote: ↑Wed Jan 07, 2026 1:55 pmSure but the same taxation applies to the agent as well. Re: Portal time 25-26
If he comes back to App I would be interested to see if we could use him at running back some. He seems to have the skillset and if he's a threat to throw it as well it would ad an extra dimension for opposing defenses to think about. I am thinking kind of like Travaris Cadet.biggie wrote: ↑Wed Jan 07, 2026 3:58 pmAlso wouldn't be a huge shock if we went to FCS, then developed and transferred again. Re: Portal time 25-26
Probably wherever they collect official payments from. If I buy a product online, I pay NC sales tax. If their registered main address is in NY then they would pay NY income tax even if the player is signing with a NC school.bcoach wrote: ↑Wed Jan 07, 2026 5:48 pmSo I am wondering which state the agent gets taxed in if his player is in NC and the target school is in SC.t4pizza wrote: ↑Wed Jan 07, 2026 1:55 pmSure but the same taxation applies to the agent as well. 3 star out of high school, got offered by Michigan, Missouri, Iowa State and Kansas. Went to Kansas, transferred to Tennessee Tech. Played in 11 games in 24 at Kansas. Started all games at Tennessee Tech in 25. 35 tackles, a sack, and an interception at Tennessee Tech. Hard to find more on him.

Picked up another receiver and I believe with this addition we have jumped Boise State just slightly in the rankings and have currently the number one overall class in the group of 5!
