Thanks to AppGrad78 and Firemoose, there is a new section of the website dedicated to recruiting. It's going to be continuously evolving as it is developed but for now all of the recruiting information can be found under Sports > Football > Recruiting > 2013 (or 2014 if you're looking for that). Both AppGrad78 and Firemoose have agreed to run this section and we all believe it will be very helpful for making it easier to access the info, stats, video, etc. for each recruit as opposed to having to search through all of the threads. If anyone has any suggestions for this new section, please relay them to us and once again, thanks to AppGrad78 and Firemoose for taking this on. It adds a lot to the board.

Ladies and Gentleman-After a couple of weeks of hard work the new 2013 recruiting page is complete. Well....mostly complete. There is still a listing at the bottom of those considering App. It was a LONG list and I have spent the last five days going through each player and have narrowed the list down, adding those who committed elsewhere to that list. The ones left are still either uncommitted or have walked on somewhere and it wasn't posted (those I will update as soon as I know). Please feel free to look over that list and if you've heard anything about a player going somewhere please let me know. I know for a fact that the bottom 6 names on the list are still uncommitted and are planning to go somewhere, just where is the question. And we are still at or near the top of the list for each of them.

As far as our commits and walk-ons, I have completed individual pages for each of the LOI's with stats and multiple videos where available, and for the walk-ons, I have made pages for those whom I found more information than was in the master list. Most of these have embeded videos and links to videos on their pages. All you have to do is click on a name to go to the page.

The 2014 page has been updated to show the 7 offers we have out now (one has committed to Miami already but it doesn't mean it will stay that way). I will be adding individual pages for those offered players in the next couple of days and we will update the page as players express interest or offers go out.

We will be starting the basketball and baseball pages as soon as I finish the 2014 football page so look for that. As for now, take a look at the football pages and let us know what you think. I hope you'll enjoy having everything in one place.

Where did you see this? On the master list that is on the page Holder shows as a Liberty commit. I didn't change the list that was in this thread. We're trying to keep everything on the page from now on. But I'll have 78 update the master since it's already here.

Hey everybody, just wanted to let you know, as there appears to be some confusion, that the master list that is in this thread is NOT the updated one. It is on the new 2013 recruiting PAGE that is found under the Sports-Football-Recruiting section from the menu bar at the top of the page, just under the logo. This new list has the links to the player pages on it. While we will still be discussing players and recruiting in the threads we are doing this so all information will be in one place and you won't have to look back through many pages to find info that had been previously posted. Just wanted to let everyone know.

Thought I would post a little update here. It was reported back around signing day that OL Dionysis Protopapadakis (6-3, 275) of East Mecklenburg High School had been offered a PWO at App and a couple of other schools but he was saying on Twitter that he was going to wait to see if he got a scholarship offer somewhere before he decided. It looked like he didn't get anything but D-II offers and he decided to quit football and just wrestle. He posted a few weeks ago he had decided to come to App as just a student. Now he's posting that he might try and walk-on here. I guess he changed his mind about football.

There are also a few others that had posted interest in App that are now talking about trying to walk on here. I will mention them in the thread if they decide to come. We've got a ton of PWO's and regular walk on players this year. Come summer and into fall it should get interesting to see who, if any, make it. I'll keep the updates coming as I see them.

According to reports DB Treyon Garnett (6' 1" 180) of Miami Beach Senior High in Miami Beach, FL has committed to App for the 2013 season. He didn't have the test scores he needed complete before signing day but has completed them now. He will be signing his LOI this weekend. He is listed as a three star recruit and the #67 safety in the nation by 247Sports. He is reported to have had offers from MTSU, Buffalo, FIU, FAU, and Western Michigan. I have added him to the "Signed LOI" section of the 2013 Recruiting Page and have built him a player page complete with videos.

I agree. With what we have coming back and off injury plus this incoming class we are stacking the D-backfield for several years to come. D-Line sounds to be in pretty good shape from your report from AK, and if we get a couple of LB's from the incoming class or maybe pickup another transfer that can contribute then our D is looking to be strong, even with the change to a full 3-4.

Just read that the ASU decommit, Jaquil Capel, who ultimately went to UNCC is transferring to App. Can anyone confirm? And please don't take this opportunity to thump your chest to our 49er friends until we see what the young man does on the field and in the classroom. I read numerous reports that he was one of their best recruits in his class and has been showing out in practice.

My bad, thought he was from the 2013 class but he was recruited back in 2012.
