Re: Marshall..?
What grinds my gears is that the forecast literally called for 12 to 20 inches of rain in a very short amount of time. It had already been raining a lot and the ground and rivers were saturated. I keep hearing “there is no way we could have predicted this”. NAY. They can somehow predict flooding on the coast, the can predict flooding elsewhere. How could you not predict that flood plains where homes, roads, and bridges are built in these river and creek hollows in the mountains wouldn’t swell?scatman77 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2024 8:57 amWhat most folks fail to understand is that the high country and western NC were not prepared for a catastrophic deluge of this magnitude. It would be comparable to a 20" snow-storm hitting Wilmington.
What grinds my gears is the feds and government big-wigs turning away volunteers and supplies, evening threatening to arrest and jail those volunteers.
Mark 9:39 But Jesus said, “Do not stop him, for no one who does a mighty work in my name will be able soon afterward to speak evil of me. 40 For the one who is not against us is for us. 41 For truly, I say to you, whoever gives you a cup of water to drink because you belong to Christ will by no means lose his reward.
They could have issued evacuation orders for these areas. The hollers, coves, and valleys were literally carved out by those rivers. Huge boulders along the river sides were carried by floods. This type of thing is known about and should have been predicted. I saw the rain forecast and knew it would be hell.
Huge failure and it seems like the Feds couldn’t be bothered to care all that much. We’ve sent $150 billion to Ukraine, held emergency sessions of Congress, pushed by the Executive Branch, and yet, here we are.
They need to show urgency in this.

Been there several times. There is not much improvement from how it looked in the 90s. We have much better eating and tailgating for sure!BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2024 12:32 pmFirst time to Huntington. Re: Marshall..?
Yeah but this would have happened either way. Shawn Clark is to blame. Not the storm. We just lost 48-14 to south alabama

Re: Marshall..?
1. That was pass interference in every single college football game, except this one
2. App is seriously lacking speed at receiver. Every game this season App receivers have been unable to get off of their defenders
3. The offensive line still can’t figure out how to pass off a stunt. Marshall is going to blitz all game long because receivers can’t get open, App can’t run, and the offensive line can’t figure out how to block them
This is going to be ugly as well. It sucks considering the outlook of the team in preseason but I’m very nearly on the Clark has to go bandwagon.

Re: Marshall..?
Same issues that happened against USA are there. This has nothing to do with the Hurricane and is just a continuance of the same problems which tells me that scheme is a big issue right now.
