We are all on a train where we have been riding for some time. On the last stop we changed Train Engineers/drivers at last stop because the previous one was not operatin it well. Now the train is not going as we all want/too slow/too much crap going on in cars/etc. However, we are in a position that we can't logically get off until the next stop AT EARLIEST. We don't even know if the new Engineer is good or bad or cause or effect of issues at this point. Some of you want to jump off the train instead of making logical decisions at the upcoming stops. I am LMAO at some to the crazy postings on this board. Trying to convince folks to jump off the train NOW! I think I will stay on the train for a while and let some of the dust settle before I start making any moves. It may be better down the line or I may have to change engineers again. Too early to tell.

We were 4-2 and looking like a lock for bowl qualification. Then Shawn Collins and Thomas Davis — arguably our two best defensive players — each made selfish decisions and got kicked off the team. At about the same time, Jayden Ramsey, Trent Ramsey and Izayah Cummings — three of our most promising offensive players — went out with injuries, two of them season-ending. Injuries happen to every team, but if you were looking for improvement over the course of the season, then you haven’t been paying attention.

People have to remember this stuff. Clark did not enforce any type of accountability. I'm not saying Loggains is going to turn it all around but simply saying that he inherited a total mess, which Clark did not. We have seen some improvements. We have some folks here and on 247 who never wanted Loggains, don't want him to succeed because their initial thought is that he would not, and they were never going to like the guy who replaced an App legend. We have to give it some time. If we are 4-8 in year 3 then I will agree and call for his job.

I'm writing down the usernames of those who are arguing with me and liking the posts of those who are as well. I am going to hold them accountable next year or in 2027 if it looks like they need to eat crow. I might join them but will need to see ample evidence. We have to give Loggains a fair chance.

I would love to see him succeed it would be stupid not to. With that said where have you seen improvement? If my name goes on that list will it be on my permanent record?

He had to kick off some star players, major injuries on the OL, and he inherited a mess. Some people just come on here to cry and moan and call for a man's job that they can't afford to buyout. What is the point of it? A lot of people are making themselves look really bad.

It is completely fair to point out the things we need to improve for next year and be critical but calling for his job at this point is just unfair. I might join you guys in being really critical here in a year or two but my goodness can't we give him one full off-season and a fair chance before jumping to conclusions.

Keep in mind, there were Missouri fans who wanted Drink out after year 2 and look what happened there. Everyone needs to relax and stop trying to tar and feather the man in his first year. We also had fans who wanted Satterfield fired by the end of his first year and look how that turned out?

I get all that and I am not calling for him to be fired right now. My question is where have you seen improvement.

Drinkwitz was a bad hire. He won all those games at the expense of our players and program and left a record that was unsustainable. Not to mention the players that Drinkwitz took with him. Clark tried to fix the mess that Drinkwitz made, and it got him fired. Loggains is doing the best with the mess that Drinkwitz made of Appalachian Football.

Is this satire? If not, please explain how you came to the conclusion that a one year coach of our best team ever is still causing issues 6 years later.

He inherited a race car from Satterfield, and the best thing you can say is he didn't drive it into the wall. He added nothing to the program, and jumped ship at first chance. I remember reading many second hand assertions that the players were not fond of him whatsoever.

Clearly he has found his footing in Missouri, though it took every bit of rope they gave him in terms of patience for him to put it together.

Looking for a positive, I will say he was a good in game play caller, and his riskier nature led us to some wins that made the season special. But that wasn't his players, and we will never know how good or bad a recruiter he would have been here.

I can agree that he won with Satt's players and that we don't know if he could have maintained that success over several years. But to say he was a bad hire is silly. Would we be saying DL was a bad hire right now if we had the same record, simply because he won with Clark's players and might be hired away?

It's also inaccurate to say he added nothing to the program because the two Carolina wins, conference title, #19 ranking, and publicly from the NY6 race discussion were all great for the program. Even if he inherited a strong team, it takes a great coach to come in and replace all the other coaches and go 13-1 with two P5 wins.

Honest question. Are those actual NIL deals or us just paying these guys.
