A lot of players caught passes today, but
Mock was missing from the boxscore. Unfortunately, I was at a wedding today and not able to watch as intently as normal. Been expecting Mock to have a big 1st year.

Did he get much PT? Any drops? Anyone know what's up?

I haven't seen him on the field at all. Redshirt? Or he just not catching on?

I believe I saw him doing a nice job run blocking several times, but I don't recall him being targeted on any passes.

He redshirted last year and has definitely played this year, just hasn't caught any passes.

I may be wrong, but thought he redshirted last year.

Ah this is what happens when I haven't been able to watch much of 2 games. Watching Akron game now that I recorded.

I also thought Ike Lewis was coming back I may be wrong . I really expected him to give us that slot look we have been missing.

D Evans was a BEAST on jet sweeps and quick screens from slot position. I think this is where th Coaches would like to play him. Mock Adams must learn how to separate from receivers. His run blocking has been excellent though. Never saw Ike on the field. He will be a big addition when they decide to play him. What a great job TJ Watkins and Brad Absher did yesterday! Good win on the road.

Ike Lewis will be eligible next game. He was serving the completion of an academic suspension. He will add to the receiving Corp. I agree that Evans is a stud. We will continue to use him both in the backfield and at slot as well as special teams. SS has commented several times on how smart Darryton is... never mind is athletic ability.

Mock is just a RS-Fr and is probably still learning to be a WR. i believe he was pretty raw coming out of HS (like another big WR from SC we had in the past). his HS team didn't throw much until his Sr year I believe. just give him some time. he's getting snaps, just needs to develop chemistry and trust with Taylor

Yeah guys, he's only a redshirt freshman. Keep in mind we are pretty deep at the wide receiver position. Also, even if he starts his sophomore year that is still pretty early for most colleges.
