Both kicks were really bad. This is very concerning.

Not sure what the answer is...well, besides scoring TD's instead

Rubino is 3-3 this year under 40 and 1-5 on FG attempts of 40 or longer. Matics struggled in 2014. Rubino will be okay.

*14-15 extra points. That miss was a big one.

True his stats make him look better but.....very very few have been anywhere close to down the middle and majority are too low especially xps.....it's a wonder we haven't had numerous blocks.

Pretty much all of his extra points since week 1 have been right down the middle.

He will be fine, he just needs to keep getting reps.

Left Hash.

Just like Matics had a preferred hash, it is painfully obvious Rubino needs to be on the left side of the field.

I am being serious and not snarky. What does "at this level" mean in the kicking game. Are the goal posts a different height or width? The kicker is not physically involved in other words size and speed are not involved. He is kicking at the same target he has been kicking at for as long as he has been kicking is he not?

I really don't want to pile on but one thing that has stuck with me. I recall watching Rubino's highlights from high school and I never recall seeing him kick a FG. I saw punts and kickoffs. That being said he must have done something to warrant so many looks. I think there is more mental than physical with a kicker. Can a kicker block out the noise? Maybe that is part of his issue and hopefully he will get better.

He will be good, give him time to fully develop

College goalposts are narrower than high school

Rubino, like all recruits, are recruited on their potential to develop. Coaches saw his strong leg and that is why he was sought after. Just needs to work on accuracy and Satt needs to give him more chances from the left hash since he keeps missing right

His make today was from the left. Misses from the right

He had the 52yd from the right hash. Looked like it swerved right then back left and would have went except not long enough.

NMSU has some issues. Just missed a game winning FG from extra point distance against LaLa...

Going to OT.

My thought is under 40 yards let Rubino kick. He's 3 of 3 from that distance. On longer field goals trot out Critcher. Several teams do this now.

Yep 18'-6 vs 23'-4 I never really paid attention to that before. I am still not terriblly happy. Things need to improve quickly.
