So much for Week 6 being uneventful in the G5 top 10. Houston’s upset loss at Navy (which I foolishly decided against naming the Game of the Week) shook up not only G5 but college football nationally.

The story that got the most attention from that game was that it essentially ended Houston’s playoff chances. But in fact, it also left them in danger of missing out on the automatic G5 bid to a New Year’s Six bowl – even if they win out the rest of the way.
