Am I reading too much into this? It looks like LaLas confrence logos on the field are removable. Are they thinking it will change soon or is it because the logo changed when the dream team joined 3 years ago? Was cuting the old logo out and replacing it easier/ cheaper than replacing the whole 5 yards of turf? Either way it looks real bad and cheap on tv

I'm beginning to think the whole FCS vs FBS argument of we will play more exciting teams in the Sun Belt is wearing away for me. I can honestly say I'd rather see App play Furman right now than this shit. At least I could enjoy the rivalry factor. I thought the promise was better competition. What's done is done, but damn I think it's a joke for us to play in this shitty conference. We deserve better.
I'm braced for the arguments.

That's not apples to apples. Furman's one thing, but you're saying a WCU game would be more exciting? Or for that matter ECSU? UL-L has had a few down years.

Sorry our team is really good now.

With regards to excitement it is apples to apples. How exciting is this...really? How exciting was Georgia State? We made it more interesting than it needed to be. Idaho next week. More of the same. You can honestly say Sun Belt is that much better. Slightly, yes, but not that much. I understand that by moving up it allowed us to do a lot more like play Tennessee on SEC Network and Miami on ESPN. I love that exposure, but these conference games are painful for me. Don't get me wrong, I love our dominance, but I think we deserve better.

I agree and we deserve to play better teams.

I've never seen a fanbase that just can't be pleased with ANYTHING. Sorry we're so good right now

Disagree.
I'd rather play Arkansas State and Texas State than VMI and Samford. Moving to the FBS wasn't about playing the likes of ULL and Georgia State, though. It's about hosting ODU, Miami, Wake Forest, Wyoming, ECU, and any other FBS team. That's why we're here and I don't foresee us sticking around the Sun Belt for the long haul.

How many SB teams are ranked in the bottom 15 or so? 5,6? Terrible

You can always become a Western Carolina fan...

I think you're underselling the Sun Belt and overselling the SoCon. I've sat through some snoozers before in both conferences. And we haven't played the class of the SBC yet. Troy will NOT be boring.

Miami and UT are at a different level and by G5 standards so are we. It would take a huge shakeup for our program to drop to a level like we are seeing tonight and will see on a few more games. We have depth, a really good QB and top flight coaches. Can't believe how much some of the other Belt coaches make. Damn

Why do so many of you get defensive? Suggesting I become a Western fan? How does that even make sense? Also if you would read you the whole thing my suggestion recognizes we are a damn good team. Hence my suggestion that we deserve better.

Can't speak for anyone else, but I'm not being defensive. I get where you're coming from. I just don't happen to agree with you. No biggie.

Four in the bottom 25 from the Sun Belt.
Six in the bottom 25 from CUSA.
Five in the bottom 25 from MAC.
Please... just stop.
