I just want to take a moment and acknowledge how fortunate we are to have Nate Woody as our DC. In the last couple years our D has emerged as quite an impressive unit nationally. They are not perfect (yet) but look pretty impressive at times. I think as we continue to recruit better and better FBS level players his system is just going to deliver at higher and higher levels. Here is an article about Alabama's defense. When I read this article I quickly thought of how Woody has been building our D and it had striking similarities.

I think we are very fortunate to have such a great coach.

Re: Woody's Defensive Philosophy
Agreed. To hold 2 Sunbelt teams to a total of 3 points is pretty good stuff in today's college football. If that trend continues, this year's D might rival the 1938 team (Coach K. Brewer) that was unscored on and undefeated in the regular season.AtlAppMan wrote:I just want to take a moment and acknowledge how fortunate we are to have Nate Woody as our DC. Re: Woody's Defensive Philosophy
His philosophy works when the done gets pressure. If they don't the tune will change tomorrow as Idaho has a solid QB. Hope the junkyard line rolls.
