1965 Helmet Logo
I've noticed that our 1965 football logo - featuring the first iteration of both Yosef and the Block A in athletics - seems impossible to find. Does anyone have a high-quality version of this logo - or know anyone who would be willing to re-create it?

If they say anything, just ask them for a picture of their 1965 helmets.AppinATL wrote:I agree. That's HORRIBLE. Sure hope none of our friends from the Stink gets ahold of this picture!

Let me guess, it was designed in Cuttaweed?PBR1893-BEER-HAT-GUY wrote:SayYesToTheRock wrote:I've noticed that our 1965 football logo - featuring the first iteration of both Yosef and the Block A in athletics - seems impossible to find. Everything old isn't an antique. Sometimes old things are just junk. That looks like crap.

Yeah, I'm not too fond of the brain-dead Yosef.

I expect their 1965 helmets are identical to their 2016 helmets...........maybe even the same ones.AppinVA wrote:If they say anything, just ask them for a picture of their 1965 helmets.AppinATL wrote:I agree. That's HORRIBLE. Sure hope none of our friends from the Stink gets ahold of this picture!

Re: 1965 Helmet Logo
LOL.......I understand the desire for that helmet strictly for nostalgia and man cave reasons only.
Reminds me of Otis in Andy Griffith.

My all time favorite. Born in 86, so I don't remember them, but if we're talking throwbacks this would be my choice. Maybe we can contact some players to have them request this for a game next year.

Re: 1965 Helmet Logo
I have some photoshop files from putting together a "mini helmet" collection of all the past helmets from a couple of falls ago... but nothing that would reproduce well in large format.SayYesToTheRock wrote:I've noticed that our 1965 football logo - featuring the first iteration of both Yosef and the Block A in athletics - seems impossible to find. Re: 1965 Helmet Logo
I always liked that helmet design, but I hated that sanitized politically correct version of Yosef. It just had not character at all and just looked like a man in a hat. If we ever do a throw back to this helmet, I hope we insert Victory Yosef into the design. I could definitely go for that./\PP ST/\TE GRAD 09 wrote:My all time favorite. I actually still have a long sleeved T-shirt that has that design on it. I hadn't really thought about how old that shirt is. LOL
