TV and App vs Troy?

Does anyone have any insight as to whether some local network will pick up the televising of App vs Troy? Be it ASN or local Charlotte network?

I don't understand this at all! The magnitude of single biggest or best matchup of the 2016 Sunbelt schedule and we are only slotted for ESPN3. I thought surely in the last hour figuratively speaking someone would pick up this coverage.

Please share if you have any insight.

If they haven't by now I don't really see it happening.

A shame.

Agreed, if "they" were to have a weekly G5 game of the week this is it!

Maybe I'm barking up wrong tree, but for what it's worth, I sent an email to the powers that be of SunBelt Conference shaming them for not making any push. If we ever do have a conference championship game in the future does this mean it will be on ESPN3 too! Pathetic leadership where ever the blame falls.....totally uncalled for.

Division 2 and FCS gets better coverage attention than this.....this is incredibly bad leadership whatever the reasoning.

This is worthy of raising hell about and dies not bode well for SunBelt progress!

Just mad and talking off top of my head....but to me looks like could easily be a 1 and half million viewership for THIS game even with time slot.

Sunbelt really doesn't get the main stream exposure like the other P5 conferences do. I'm not sure if that's of the conference or if the news outlets need to talk about Alabama and Ohio State for another 35 minutes instead of giving some of the Sisters of the Poor the time of day.

Hey, as a contingency, at least we are one of the picks for ESPN's college Pick'em game for this week.

It's certainly disappointing, but to say that FCS and D2 gets better coverage is just crazy. The problem is that the game is on Saturday afternoon and goes up against already scheduled games from P5 conferences. When the television schedules were set, nobody knew this game would be critical. We don't have the clout to get last minute coverage on any major venue. That's just the reality of G5 football.

I would say anyone paying attention would have known this would be a potential conference championship game before the season started. But, we have had really good TV exposure so far this year.

Not true, I remember having no coverage or having to watch a lame university feed when we were FCS. At least every game this year has been covered by ESPN In some manner.

One of the most absurd things posted around here in a long time.

Not sure its the Sun Belt's call. The conference gets a very limit number of appearances, and the games will largely be at off times, not on Sat afternoon. Yes, coverage is better than when we were in FCS, but FCS is not much better today. NSDU today is what we had then, and they get similar press and coverage that we do today. Even places like Mars Hill, Wingate, West Georgia, etc. is on ESPN3 every weekend. But the reason to move from FCS was not TV. That is a myth, somewhat falsely promoted at the time. The coverage and money were never enough of a bump to justify the decision. ESPN3 is great. Even the quality is solid. Better than regional carriers IMO.

App had four regular season games on national broadcast and two more on regional. We have never had this much exposure, but go ahead and complain, I'm sure you miss PBS.

Not really, most expected it to be between App, GS and stAte. Troy was expected to maybe sneak into a bowl game but that's about it.

You just don't get it do you saint - I was actually talking about today's game - but that doesn't matter because if I said today was Saturday you would be bitching that I was wrong --- It is not my fault you never played much less coached football but hey I bet you are great with Madden ---

Next time you could just post the only option is ESPN3 without an attempt to degrade the coverage and make light of the exposure App has gotten since they joined the FBS, which is hands down exceeded expectations.

Having coached or played has nothing to do with this subject, odd to bring that up, but hey that's par. Got my HDMI hooked up and ready to watch some football.
