We could have won this one,and a conference championship,but they were better physically and especially ,mentally. Offsides on a field goal attempt that leads to 7. The unnecessary roughness after the play that killed our drive at midfield. Gee ,we started at midfield twice ,with nothing to show for it. Come on the bomb on fourth down ...we had zero pressure so where was everybody? Now let's talk clock management ...Out coached and outplayed,the better team won.

Troy was definitely the better team today. Frustrating loss but we got whipped up front. Gotta keep recruiting good OL and DL players!!!

They would beat us 8 out of 10 at this point.Really exposed us...and the mental breakdowns ugh.

Just made too many mistakes and missed too many opportunities. At least we weren't embarrassed like we were against Arkansas State last year.

I don't think 8 of 10. We adjusted well after their quick start. The game was in Troy, and evenly matched teams force mistakes. They forced one more in this instance.

I didn't see any other game, but I can safely say that was as good of a game as any that was played today.

8 out of 10????????????????????????????????? wow, wow and wow - You do realize we were ahead with less than 2 minutes to go in the game on their field ????????????????????????? - Had them with a 4th that would have sealed the game - they made a great play - they won, we lost --- 8 out of 10 - REALLY ???????????????????????????????

Is ok to talk about some of the problems some of us noticed most of the year or still sticky with rainbows after a game?

Had a bad feeling going into this one with inconsistent O. Was hoping I'd be wrong.

He also has a great OL that gives him great protection. Probably the best in the Belt.

This game turned when we were up 17-14 with all the momentum after a shanked punt and Parker Collins committed one of the dumbest penalties I've ever seen which led to a punt. Inexcusable from a senior.

I was coming to post the exact same thing, but you beat me to it. This is the formula for how we lose anytime we lose a big game. Mental mistakes, and undisciplined penalties. How many times in the Satterfield era have we been called for unsportsmanlike conduct, for late hits, for stupid mental penalties, for not being lined up, for substitution infractions??? Over and over this happens, and yet it's still not fixed . This time it came back to bite us. We were in perfect position to go up two scores, with the ball at midfield, and we get a personal foul. Just sickening. Lost by 4, or the exact amount of extra points we gave them on their second score when we stupidly jump offsides and give them a first. And the clock management? How is this still an issue? Just a sickening way to lose.

He's racked up quite a bit of penalty yardage over the past few seasons.

I want to first and foremost give Troy credit for winning the game. They did the things they had to do to win, we did the things that cause a team to lose a close one. I admire the fight in our team. The things I don't like, especially 10 games into the season, are the bone headed penalties and poor clock management. Don't think there's good excuses anymore for those.

I've been involved with the program likely longer than many of you have been alive. And I am ecstatic ...you just have to realize how far we have come, and what we have overcome. Amazing. However we got our teeth handed to us today in the trenches. I love our kids but we got physically dominated . Even so due to some outstanding plays here and there we were a mental misque or two away from a title. A title I want as bad as anyone. With that said , I hate it ,but they are better , and they exposed our weaknesses at this level. Folks Elon isn't on the schedule...

This has become the normal behavior. Seems to be ok with the coaches happens at every other game. It took ASU from a 2nd and 11, to 2 and 26. May have been the difference. Troy is not the better team just the most disciplined one...and now they will win the Sun Belt....Have heard their rings will be 14k gold.....

If I didn't know any better I would have thought we lost by 21 yesterday. My god if we make a 4th down stop we win and the posts center around a thread that says "whew!" We got beat. Hell Clemson went down at home. Let's take the lat 2, win our Bowl game and go 10-3 again.
