If you all could read, you would take note of the fact that his poll is based upon a mathematic formula and isn't subjective (though there is likely some bias in his formula that would be hard to sort out without quite a few years of data). Regardless, his opinion doesn't have much to do with where teams are ranked.

True that. Mr. Fornelli does not appear to trouble himself with the scientific method either. The fact that he does not wish to share his "formula" is itself suspect.
That "formula" could be the stair-step method. You know, the one we all suspected our 8th grade teacher used ? Go to the top of the stairs & throw those test papers down the steps. The ones at the top got an "A", and so forth until they got all the way down to the bottom, an "F".
App at 14 ??? Nice. But, that is ridiculous.

He must reside in a state where Mary Jane is legal and smokes frequently. If App had beaten UT and Troy maybe........

As a current professor I can tell you have not spent numerous years in graduate study to perfect this grading technique. The literature in the field is quite extensive and shows that the ones that travel the farthest get their well deserved "A" because of the sheer weight and amount of work that went into that paper. The lightweight papers fall near he top of the stairs and get a deserved "F" grade. In the spirit of fairness though, both methods are mentioned in the definitive literature study on the case to date:

No joke- my senior year at App I had a business professor who on day 1 scanned the class and proclaimed the breakdown of his final grades for us. Imagine the horror hearing how many A's and how many F's there would be at the end. More of the latter. I was hanging out with some buddies after exams waiting on graduation and we had a few chilly beverages. I went to check my grade and it was lower than expected. Guess I had some courage so I inquired about the grade, made my case for it to be raised based on classroom participation. Guess he appreciated my effort so he bumped it up. Completely irrelevant but I just recalled it because of the other grade method mentioned.
