With all of these schools firing head coaches what are odds Satterfield will be moving on?
Even with current open spots there will be more created just filling some of those.
I will say having somewhat of an off year with our win/loss record may actually help keep him off some radars. It may be selfish but just as soon he hang around Boone a while longer.
Or we could get on the bandwagon and start a dumpster fire campaign to fire him and make a big mess like UT has on their hands. That controversy will go on for years. On second thought scratch that last comment.
He has done a great job! Let's keep him

Re: Open Season on Coaches
I can't see Satt moving for any other G5 head coaching position and I doubt he is at the top of the list for any of the really good P5 programs. If an LSU comes calling that's life changing...if it's Vandy, Maryland, Wake or like programs not so much.
I expect this years record hasn't helped his resume as one of the "hot picks" for P5, although a conference championship and bowl win (still possible) would help that a lot.

Re: Open Season on Coaches
I don't see him leaving App for an OC job, unless it's a CFP contender type program, and even then I think it'd be a stretch. It's possible I'm being a homer though . . .
Honestly, I get worried about losing him to NCSU. This summer there was talk of the possibility that State has another disappointing year and cutting Doren loose, leaving the position open for someone like Satt. Now it's Tennessee with Doren on their newly minted short list of dumpster firefighters. The result and possible impact to Satterfield is the same if Doren bolts Raleigh for Knoxville. State is going to take a step backwards next year no matter what and it'd be a tough first year for any coach. They start 9 seniors on defense and have a junior considering leaving for the NFL. 10 starter turnover (not to mention 1 is Bradley Chubb) is going to crazy hard to deal with in 2018.
