Bowl carousel????
Well one thing is for sure....we will find out where the committees put us Sunday at noon.
Now CBS prognostication has us going to the Zaxbys Heart Of Dallas Bowl playing LaTech in the old Cotton Bowl Stadium on Dec 27.
This is what was called the Ticket City Bowl.

Re: Bowl carousel????
I don't think the committee has any say in where we go. I could be wrong but I think that the committee selects the CFP and the NY6.

Re: Bowl carousel????
The ESPN guys are wrong about boca raton bowl and armed forces bowl...la tech will not be at boca...it will be wku vs Memphis...already confirmed to me. So maybe an open door to New Orleans for app against la tech? That, I'd like.

Re: Bowl carousel????
I think that the Cure Bowl makes the most sense for us. With Ark St., Troy, USA, and now ULaf all bowl eligible, it makes sense that they occupy the slots in NOLA and Bama. It would have been interesting if Ga South had been eligle though as to where we would have ended up.ASUPATCH wrote:Both espn guys now saying Cure bowl vs UCF. http://www.espn.com/college-football/st ... ng-playoff

If Ga Southern had beaten Ga St, they'd be occupying which ever bowl Mississippi St is at, since they are the second 5-7 team. That would be St Petersburg vs Miami OH per ESPN.

Fox Sports Now predicting Cure bowl UCF as well. I personally love it, great venue and the largest school in Florida. Will definatly feel like an away game but bring in the Knights. http://www.foxsports.com/college-footba ... mes-120416

Re: Bowl carousel????
This game offers a great deal of upside for us. Opponent is from the AAC, it's in a great location, more visibility in a recruiting hotbed, and the stadium should look good on TV with a local team .ASUPATCH wrote:Fox Sports Now predicting Cure bowl UCF as well. NBC sports now has us in the Cure. Unless someone here knows something, it appears we are Orlando bound. https://www.google.com/amp/collegefootb ... id-verizon

Re: Bowl carousel????
Ark St seems very confident they are now Cure bound and unhappy about it. And we get to go back to Montgomery, and play a lesser name opponent in a crappier city in front of less fans. Went to Montgomery last year as I wouldn't miss our first bowl game. Going back is unlikely. Its a logistical nightmare of your not within driving distance. Fly into NO or Atl and drive. Might just keep my Orlando reservation and take the kids to Disney instead. Can somone explain the reasoning of making Ark St travel so much further to me.

Re: Bowl carousel????
If it is Toledo in Montgomery, I would take that over a bowl in city that is likely unaware that the game is being played.

I will likely go to Orlando. I will not go back to Montgomery again for a 2nd year in a row.

Here's my thinking...if I can make the date work and can afford it, I'll be there. Wherever THERE is.
I hope you'll do the same.
